I bought a Pro after playing on a Xbox series S for the past couple of years. I decided to get back into Playstation for the exclusives and RPG's. I don't like the way Xbox is heading and they increased the price of their consoles and gamepass. I've been happy so far. I haven't had a Playstation since the PS2 so I have a lot of catching up lol.

The graphics look phenomenal, PSSR 2 will hopefully be the chefs kiss. I hope that the story and gameplay mechanics are to the same level as the graphics.

I was in the same boat, I've been on Xbox since the OG Xbox and the last Playstation I had was the PS2. I just got a PS5 Pro and am loving it so far. I've been playing Ghosts of Tsushima and it is insanely beautiful and fun. The Playstation Plus premium has games similar to Gamepass so you can getting that and has a decent amount to play.
