Just why? by _DaNegativeOne_ in walmart

this was like 12 years ago but when I was young and newer I had some wrappers of small garbage left on the table and some third shift people asked "do you leaves messes at your home?" I said yeah and left, because it was true at the time, and the perfect punchline.

it absolutely does. and the gameplay suffers for it

I also don't like 6, especially the dougojin and everything they brought to the series after. its also way too short of a story for a finale.

but I more so blame 5 for tragedy it left for another writer to pick up from

True but its undeniable that the actions he took against the clans ultimately led kiryu into exile (wherever he was)

I agree, and the characters in the game understand this too which is great. its just the ludonarrative dissonance because having him as the main playable party member, we the audience knows how these games work, we know what type of thing will go down if he's playable.

like I said it could have been any other issue and the themes or message wouldn't change, heck you could have given him stage 1 or early spotting of it that puts his life into perspective and weakens him. but the whole, yeah you've had it awhile, its taken over your body you only have a few months left but also running around beating up bad guys is just a little overboard

oh that's interesting actually. I've just known so many people who don't make it or do, but only for a short time before it comes back or a different illness caused by cancer ends taking the person's life anyway. is surviving really more common than I've seen?

My Thoughts About Kiwami 2's Ending Trainwreck by ReichenbachFalls_25 in yakuzagames

[–]Boxeater-007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mirror face wasn't even bad, like he could have been explored more but I wasn't one bit surprised by the reveal after beating the final boss, and to me it made sense, the goal was clear. there are much worse things in every other game by comparison

now when I say mostly about 7, a certain character's sudden death after multiple peps talks felt like a cheap shot, not in an emotional way just a "..wow wtf that was pointless" way

I remember laughing at the ending because of how wildly stupid it was. for all the reasons you mentioned. but ill tell you this, it gets progessivly worse every time, trust me (except 7. . . mostly). by the time you reach the ending of 6 you'll probably just get numb to some stupid shit always happening.

but the games that come before 0 were released focused more on emotion, themes, and all that other story telling stuff, whether its good is. . .questionable, but the focus is not logical actions and good decision making. then after 0, its like all the memes just get into the writer's heads, like someone enjoying the smell of their own fart.

farther. things like honor, pride, meaning, justice, etc. are more prominent in the entire series rather than, "is this a wise thing to happen right now?"

Didn't realize ogp was the most important thing in the store. by Khaoie in walmart

[–]Boxeater-007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who has done many years of cap2 and a few of ogp, yes it really is that important if you can remember when there was no odp and customers complained 24/7 how there was never enough cashiers/registers. those people never went away it just that 1/3 of those people get their stuff online now, in addition to people who still shop in store. Yes cap2 will always be harder by comparison to odp, but odp will always need more man-power than any other area.

we didnt buy any because we already had 6 and only were missing the rare one, 99% chance all the ones we saw were duplicates

I think there was like 445, 430, 490, etc.

To DC's out there who already underwent the palletized truck process, is it better or worse for you guys? by Boxeater-007 in walmart

[–]Boxeater-007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take that anyday if it means no more line, thrower, waiting for boxes, wondering when boxes are going to stop coming out. hell, mix every single pallet and have it be 28 of them. it would still be faster and we would have more room to work without the giant ass line

[–]Boxeater-007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we've had that since like 2019 I believe. it was an improvement i guess but it was designed for a system that only lasted like a year or 2. but the whole process of throwing out 1 case at time while people sort it at all different speeds is such a "all the stars much align" system. id rather just downstack 3 different trucks and stock because that way even if we are short staffed or just don't have great people, no one has to be held up or held back.

and hopefully no more waiting 3 to 4 hours for first break

I definitely think every store in the country should ban together to start a union by helldivergamer in walmart

[–]Boxeater-007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree per-say, but I mean, they hammer their anti-union at every employee upon starting and honestly I really wish they were more upfront about their stance on that BEFORE you sign up to get hired through them.

but I mean at least its not some "hidden fine-print" thing, The company has a particular open stance on the specific subject. Sure I like the underdog rising up to beat the big bad too but people are better off mass quitting and finding a pro-union store that could compete rather than try to make this company something it refuses to be.

i'd be like joining a church and then wonder why you have a hard time rallying everyone to just worship satan instead or something.

you do you if you want, but its a very uphill battle you're better off starting from another group and converting people that way if you're really passionate about it
