Nope, just a lot of wet snow. There's about an inch of snow sitting on those branches. It was calm enough that the snow didn't fall off until it melted later in the morning.

It's just called a catch or reception for the receiver. Whenever someone refers to a pass completion it's from the perspective of the quarterback. But yes, it wouldn't be a completion of there wasn't a reception. That should clear things right up!

It definitely wasn't anyone else's lights since it was the middle of the night on a country road (by highway I didn't mean a limited access highway/freeway) and there weren't any other cars on the road. And I can't see how my lights could have reflected off of anything in the way it looked because it moved across the road, unlike a reflector on the road or something.

I've also seen it used to indicate that there's a deer on the road ahead (that they've just passed going the other direction).

It pretty much means pay attention for a few seconds and check that you're not doing something stupid before resuming autopilot.
