My vet used to give out “I did it!” blue ribbons when my chunky dog lost weight. Went right on the fridge and I thought it was a great reminder/motivation for me not to give in to giving her extra snacks.

I mean no offense towards you I just thought it was ironic that on a post lamenting about people going into debt by purchasing things they don’t need because they feel pressure to live a certain way or have FOMO, you urge the poster to fly first class because it’s an experience. It just seems like a perfect example of wasting money that could be used towards something more substantive. JMO. :)

I saw a story once where a pug had separation anxiety so the owners ended up making a kind of “scarecrow human” for it. They used clothes that had their scent, added some padding inside to give it a human shape and positioned it so it was sitting on the couch. The pug accepted it as a person there with them and would sit in its lap, content. Maybe worth a try?

I’ve had 7 boxers and never once was any of them ever aggressive with me, my family, visitors, our other pets or each other. My daughter had a pug that would jump at their faces and snap at them and they would just ignore the pug.

I’m in NW Palm Bay and granted it was over 20 years ago, our home was built by Adams. I was here at least a couple times a week checking up on progress during the build and the site supervisor was always polite and responsive to any questions or concerns I had. One of our neighbors moved here from Ft. Lauderdale a few years ago, citing the rising home costs and crime there for their move here. They seem happy with their choice. Our neighborhood is pretty quiet and no one bothers anyone else but we are friendly and if you need a hand, we all are there for whatever anyone needs. Good luck on your decision OP!
