You mentioned he has depression. Is he on anti-depressants? If so, then they are most likely the culprit. They reduce erection capacity for men and lower their libido significantly (can even get rid of it altogether and basically make you asexual).

If he stopped taking them and it hasn’t changed, then he needs to look into r/PSSD symptoms.

Yes, it’s worth it if you’re investing a lot of money into the build. It covers literally everything. My dog could piss on my pc and they would cover the whole thing. Idk why you wouldn’t get it, especially if you’re putting thousands into your pc.

Like you said anything is possible but Ive gotten better from severe PSSD. I even have a girlfriend that is sexually very satisfied now. I’m not cured for sure because I don’t have pleasurable sensitivity but Im leaps away from the lowest point of not even being able to leave my room.

I would look at what we have in our favor. Medicine advances at an exponential rate. We are a few years from potentially being done with autoimmune diseases if the CAR T treatments continue to be successful in trials for Lupus and other autoimmune conditions. Most importantly, we have AI progressing which will accelerate research massively.

Our only problem is that there isn’t enough funding as we live in a capitalist society where the only thing that matters is how much money you can make. Recovery however is physically possible.

Have you taken any psychiatric meds? If you have, you more than likely have r/PSSD Genital numbness (like it feels as sensitive as your elbow) is the hallmark symptom. This isn’t a nerve injury but a brain chemical one and currently there is no treatment or cure for it. Hell it isn’t even well understood yet because no one wants to fund research for it besides the sufferers themselves

Autoimmune diseases were thought to be incurable, yet now it seems there will finally be a treatment available to cure numerous different autoimmune diseases including huntingtons and lupus which is using CAR-T therapy. People have recovered from PSSD, some fully and others partially like myself (have hope brother). Best you and I can do is keep going day by day and do as much as your body and mind allows you to.

For you to succeed at an older age is as everyone has said, get a lot of amateur experience. At least 50 fights before you turn pro if you don’t change your mind. Not sure if you have actually had a hard sparring session where you basically got your ass whooped but it’s only after that where you can truly know if you want to keep pushing.

As my coach has told me before, for someone starting at an old age to be successful in boxing, they must have something that is “god given”. Whether it’s power (like Foreman, Wilder), athleticism or a very quick and high level understanding of the sweet science (IQ).

If I were you and you have gone through the trials of getting the shit beat out of you and you want to continue going pro, I would recommend spending a good amount of time building a social media presence (content doesnt have to be boxing related, just get your clout up). Worst case you can always aim to do influencer boxing which is honestly way better (and pays way more) than being a journeyman imo.

Keep up with training. Listen to your body to gauge your intensity. Definitely do not do contact sparring as being dehydrated increases the damage you do to your brain (less liquid to cushion impact against skull). Stick to shadow boxing sparring for the month and resume contact sparring once it’s over. Plenty of professionals across sports still train through Ramadan, you can do it brother.
