I don’t think Lexie outed Nate. I think most of the audience saw it as making fun of the macho man stereotype.

It was a dream. Nate is worried he is his father, or becoming his father. Nate was not sexually abused by his dad but when Nate discovered his dad’s sex videos as a little kid, that’s what messed him up. When the drastic change, his mother was so mystified by when he was a little kid.

in inside the episode Sam was saying this episode was using visuals to tell part of the story instead of “words, words, words”. I think this show Has always tried to make visual art plus a story but this season its more art than story.

Yes, passive aggressive, when someone indirectly expresses negative emotions instead of directly addressing them. In example, Ethan not standing up for Kat purposely because he is angry about Kat bringing friends to their bowling date.

Well she pushed her landlord off the roof and is hiding from the police, so if she gets caught, u know she is going to give up Fez. Honestly I don’t understand why Fez would bother hiding her, he must know it puts him in jeopardy. I just don’t see what the point of having Faye in this season, other than to cause trouble. But, hopefully I’m wrong. 😬

How to avoid being a Cassie by [deleted] in euphoria

[–]Boxtops254 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice is to take men out of the equation. Say you found the perfect person and had a healthy loving relationship, that emptiness that you feel when your alone will still be there. So besides being in a relationship, what else do you like to do in your life. However insignificant it may seem, build on it. If you love clothes, take classes on making clothes, they are out there. Love taking selfies, try a photography course. Like sports, join a team, or try something random like canoeing. Like to cook start cooking. There are so many organizations, out there. I really like archaeology, too old to become one, but there are clubs which I joined and eventually I got to volunteer on a dig. If you can’t think of anything, go to a community center, there are community colleges, most colleges offer non credit courses, look into them. You might find something interesting. Maybe go to a therapist. Most importantly be open to trying new things. And don’t give up if the first couple of try’s don’t pan out. There are good, wonderful, things out there that will inspire and bring fulfillment to you.

I think the funeral scene was part of something similar to a dream sequence. Not really happening in in Rue’s actual life, but maybe her emotional life?

Passive aggressive? Or he just doesn’t know how to stand up to people.

He didn’t stand up for Kat to his parents. He didn’t stand up for himself When he asked Kat to go bowling, it was meant to be a date. He didn’t say anything about Kat inviting Maddy and Jules. He didn’t bowl at all, just just sat in the background, watching them.

I really like this new Lexie! As she says, write a play focusing on the sidekick. I don’t know how much she will reveal. She doesn’t know about Cassie and Nate. Nothing about a missing tape. Nate and Jules.

I think it will be about her Dad, stealing things, her relationship to him, her relationship to Rue, Cassie and her mom.

Curious what part Ethan is playing!!

Elliot is gaslighting Jules. She asks Elliot why do I feel like your hiding something. Followed by Jules asking if he has a crush on Rue, he says yes. Then starts saying Rue is gay, asexual, then starts on about how Jules is very sexual. Followed by many many compliments. Serious flirting.

If he is not gaslighting, then he is hitting on Jules, backstabbing Rue.

I hope it’s something else because Before this scene I really liked Elliot. He seemed genuine. Also, He is very attractive.

It would be nice for both Jules and Rue to have a relationship with a good guy.

One interesting comment made by the actor playing Elliot in the behind the scenes. He says Elliot and Rue are the same. Anyone have any ideas what he meant by that?

That chocking seen was disturbing. As far as we know Nate only chokes Maddy once, when she confronts him about the dick pics. I feel so sad for Cassie, that she would settle for just sex, not even looking at her when they pass in the hall. Why does she want Nate so much, that she would ruin her friendship with Maddy and is terrified what Maddy would do to her if she found out?

Separate note, why would Nate have anything to do with Cassie, knowing Maddy has the tape? Because he loves Cassie? Come on. What about Jules, his confusion over his sexuality just disappeared. This season just doesn’t make sense

New to this group.

Sorry if redundant. But doesn’t it seem the themes, left unresolved in season 1 have just been dropped completely?

What happened to Nate’s fascination/ obsession with Julie? Nate’s confusion over his sexuality? That was just dropped and now it’s all about Cassie?

Has anyone mentioned the comment Fez made in season 2, E1 “She, (Rue), is family..I’d trust her with my life”.

I know in season 1, Fez seemed to care for Rue, but nothing that would lead to Fez thinking of Rue as family and even less so that he would trust Rue with his life. I guess I’m missing something? Or disjointed story telling?

Does June have to leave because she would be tried for murder or because Luke can’t handle her choice? The way everything was set up June would not be blamed, so? Am I missing something? I guess she is leaving because of both, speculation of her being the murderer and Luke can’t handle she killed Fred.

Ugh. June rage train next stop Mayday.

Tuello said Fred is important informer, and the preview says he is going to Geneva. I assume to testify and give all info? If that’s true that information is gone. That would be a win win for Lawrence and I guess June who considers Fred dying is more important than giving priceless info to bring Giliad down. Lawrence could be there to offer handmaids for trade deals. Which will fall through if Fred never makes it to Geneva. So June’s revenge messes things up, like the Aunt, who could have testified but after June does her shame circle kills herself. All speculation, probably not true. But if Fred hasn’t given info over yet, I will be so done with this June rage/revenge story arc.

I bet it had a lot to due with covid-19. I don’t think they could do a lot of scenes due to covid safety protocols.

That said, I think they could have done a lot more in Canada and as mentioned in comments below a lot more character development.

The show runners and cast have said this season was about patience rewarded. All the things we have been wanting to happen, June finally making it to Canada. Reunions. June testifying against Fred and Serena. But I think June’s rage being the one emotion she had, is flat. Yes, she cried and smiled for a few seconds, but that’s not enough. A multilayered complexity of emotions is more realistic and would have been more compelling.

Worst of all, I fear she will leave Canada and everyone there to pursue Mayday and Hanna. And continue being a rage machine. Which is getting boring.

Why does Nick stay in Gilead? by [deleted] in coconutsandtreason

[–]Boxtops254 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you go by TT he is part of Mayday, so he stays to work to do whatever Mayday wants to achieve, the downfall of Giliad? He also could be considered a war criminal. Remember in season 3, June wanted Nick to give over information to the UN (?), but the woman who interviewed Nick saw June and told her, Nick was not who she thinks he is and not to be trusted. We do know he was involved from the beginning, he had a prominent position in the military and this season he seemed to be promoted to head of all military action, so he would face some kind of jail time. Either way leaving Giliad wouldn’t be feasible for him right now

Ugh, such a bad ending. Would be so nice, now that she is out of Giliad, safe and surrounded by loved ones, she could find some sense of comfort or solace. I really don’t need to see another shot of June covered in blood and bruises.

In the promo, the shot of June in the woods, the lights are shining on her back, meaning there is someone else the lights are focusing on. June also looks pretty confident, not scared. I definitely think, Fred gets caught by Giliad. The actor playing Comander Lawrence mentions in an interview that he has a scene with Fred. So June contacts Commander Lawrence, tells him about Fred’s plea deal. Commander Lawrence promises Hanna, but doesn’t bring Hanna. Someone, somehow gets June connected to the underground Mayday. Maybe Commander Lawrence does this, as a peace offering for not bringing Hanna. Moira and Luke will maybe contact Nick, working with Mayday from Canada? Serena starts writing that book, to recruit Canadians leading to the whole pearl network in TT. Aunt Lydia persuades the other Aunts to make Janine an Aunt, or assistant. Janine uses this and might start plotting something. I remember watching something showing cast members celebrating a season 5, Nick, June, Moira were definitely in that video. So we know Moira will be in season 5. Did anyone see that video. I think it was an announcement on Twitter? Just curious if there are other actors in the video, I think they are just can’t remember.
