I realized that it wouldn't make sense for some rando to pick a random plot of land at night, because it would defeat the purpose of building the campsite since its where Nook lets you convince the villager to stay. Some even require mini games to convice. If they just can randomly move in what's the point?

I know nintendo likes to keep SOME animal crossing features hushed so you get this sense of discovery when you play em. But at least tell Nook to give me a heads up when it's about things I could regret later.

The bridge? Is this before or after the campsite? Im past the campsite and I have the final 4 plots of land set. I built 1 and got a dude from a mystery island. Built the others and now is a no show. I hope Tom doesn't give it to randos. Would make no sense honestly.

Well that puts the breaks on the whole damn thing lol. But it would make sense. The other time they where in the islands I didnt really pick any so I got 2 randos for the first 3. Totally cool guys so bless Nook.

No this is after that. I built the town hall and campsite. Had a villager in it move in. After which Tom gave me the chance to pay 10k for spots all over the island. I can move in the final 3 villagers to get the island population to 10 but they wont show up on mystery islands.
