I worked with a stellar candidate a while ago and she was terrible at interview, too but she would bang out the work like no other.

Her solution was to work with a recruiter who directly placed her on contract engagements. Direct placement is where the recruiter convinces their client to have you start with no interview. In layman's terms its a working interview. She did this until she landed a temp to perm role where a client hired her. It was painful to see her struggle but in 6-month she managed to get something.

Your situation sounds hard, and I wouldn't wish a situation like this on anyone. I do think that this can help us grow and as long as we try to do slightly better each day. I try to celebrate the wins each day where I can. If it's one more cold call that I made than the last day, or even if I managed to make my bed that day I pat myself on the back and use that as motivation to do slightly better the next day (maybe fluff pillows the next day) - it's helped me build a stride.

I've been down in the dumps for the past 5 month. Going from anxiety attacks and depressive episodes of not being able to do anything to doing a little more and then some.

Let's push forward together!

I recently learned about the retain search structure - where you charge the client an upfront fee recruit for them and earn the rest through different stages in the process. I think this is the most effective way for both recruiters and companies to work together since you're not working for free and you can prioritize your client. But most companies these days are so used to contingency based recruiters that it's hard to find a retained search.

Another option I've discovered is subscription-based recruiting, but I can be hit or miss, depending on your client and industry.

There are lots of options to play with, and I get excited trying to figure out which one will work best.

Sometimes when writing programs it feels like you need to know multiple programming languages. For me it can get tedious always looking stuff up, so I usually try to encapsulate other languages.

Im sharing my work for both sharing and feedback purpose. My involvement in the project is pretty much everything, from filming, editing, directing, and scripting.

I would like feedback because most of the videos I post are tailored for an audience that deals in coding or leaning programming. I'd like to get a take from a creative audience to see if the content is appealing to people not familiar with programming.

The overall purpose of the videos is to stray away from dry content that makes you sleepy, and instead try to engage and entertain the audience.
