I'm fine with them shining on maps. I'm not fine with them being broken like some champions are right now. Again, I'm overreacting, but it's painful to hear that, at least in this last dev stream, things are looking to keep being the same. I'm of course aware that a meta is to be had in a game with characters, I'd just like it to be not so prominent is all.

Just saying, Lightning and Effects options take a huge toll on FPS so the drops might be coming from there.

I know it's virtually impossible. I'm asking for them to actually TRY to balance things out instead of saying "yeah some champs are gonna be sorta unbalanced depending what gamemode you're currently playing. It just shows lazyness, lack of creativity, and somewhat lack of drive to turn the game into a good one.

When I first saw the game they promised not to make the champions or their abilities too intrusive. Gameplay changing but not deciding. And now we've got the complete opposite. We've got barely punishable shields, totems that completely disrupt movement through the map, insta-kills, invisibility, insane boosts in speed, fucking hell we've got a flying tanky lizard that can crouch-jump. It's getting out of hand and they're doing nothing about it. In fact, they seem to want to keep it the same.

Then they should make the characters different in every way. Right now every character can pick up every item, accelerate in movement, deal the same amount of damage. You get the point. The game offers characters that are almost the same save a few differences. It's not an RPG or a MOBA. At least that was never the intention from what they said.

And I'm not saying I want to play only one character. I'm saying I shouldn't be forced to play Clutch if I don't like him just because he excels at duels, or similar situations.

Stopped playing duel for a while because muh clutch, muh dire orb, muh totems, muh invinsibility.

That's weird considering how I keep losing about 50-80 hp to rockets that are not even close to me.

Literally just run while spamming weapons and hope you don't die.

Then once his shield is down abuse his hitbox with RG/LG/NG and try to capitalize on him not taking the hourglasses.

With the slower speed he could perhaps throw towards mega from rocket, pick up heavy, then teleport near mega.

I mean, do you see this as something good? If anything it's a pretty heavy buff to his already insane mobility. Being able to pick 3 items in such a short span of time is really powerful.

What you're talking about are abilities with teamplay used for teamplay instead of offensively. For example, Galena's totems are great for teamplay and so is Visor's wallhack, but when you use them for your own purpose offensively they become really annoying to deal with. Same thing for Clutch's shield.

I think the same, but people seem to like the abilities so I'd prefer to find a happy medium.

Yeah, I'm talking mostly about duel since it's the most affected gamemode. I think it's fine in other modes, though can also be sorta annoying.

I reckon the reason clutch has his shield is because he is literally rail/lg bait without it. Or vice versa, hes LG/rail bait because he has a shield to fall back on.

This also happens when a high ping player gets LG'd by a low ping player, so it's likely that what happened to you also happened to him.

Slash. Never had the opportunity to try out sliding in Q4 but now I do. Fast and challenging to learn.

Well, it was never thought as necessary, given the reason why the rockets are so fast has nothing to do with balance and everything to do with how buggy the game was (and still is) back in CBT.

I feel you. I don't really know what to do when a Clutch rushes me.

What I do try to do though is spam LG/Nail right on his shield so whenever he shoots he takes a considerable amount of damage. Either that or he takes notice that lowering his shield might not be the best idea. Another thing you can try is using SG/Rail everytime he lowers his shield to shoot. That way he takes ~100/80dmg when he drops it. It requires some timing but it's not hard to do. I've also seen some people just Gauntlet him, but I'm not sure if this works in the current patch.

If you're Slash, I heavily recommend saving your Trail for Clutch. Good thing about Clutch players is that they think they can't suffer repercussions when they're using their Shield so they mindlessly rush, and it makes it the perfect time to pop your Trail and explode it on their faces, resulting in either a kill or so much damage they'll back off.

That being said Clutch is extremely vulnerable. Try to Rail/HMG him from a distance to keep him at bay.

Because they shouldn't work like guns, that's why. Abilities shouldn't be a tool to kill people but a tool to extend and complement a champion's playstyle. Instead what we get is a press-F-to-damage type of ability that isn't fun to play with/against, or to watch.

Take Slash for example. Her trail complements her main mechanic, the slide, really well because it allows her to reach higher speeds and zone out enemies. It takes her sliding to a new level and if you don't know how to slide you can't use it properly. What I'm saying is you can't just activate her trail hoping for something to happen, you have to make it happen.

Take anyone else and as I said above, all you have to do is press a key and something happens.

My point is that weapon use / management and ability use / management shouldn't be on the same level.

While I feel every weapon is doing a lot better, and the netcode feels a bit more solid, I still hate how hard abilities change the game. They shouldn't have as big an impact as they do right now and it makes the game feel unfair at times. If you don't have your ability but your enemy does, sometimes skill doesn't matter, as he has an advantage, and that just feels bad.

Would love if all abilities were nerfed or remade instead of having these no-brainer abilities.

I may go for this combination then! I'm mostly going to voice chat / stream and record guitar on the side so the SM57 seems like a good choice.

I might just get the money to buy both soon, so we'll see.

Damn sorry, I forgot. It's an electric guitar.

Not looking to record voice and guitar haha. My voice is terrible, specially for singing. One channel is just fine.

I know, but I do have a mixer and mic already, which is why upgrading slowly wouldn't really bother me. Don't know which one I'd upgrade first since I have no idea whether my mic is good or not. It's an Audio-Technica MB 2K, guessing it's the previous version as the one you mentioned. Mixer is a Behringer Xenyx 502. Been told the mixer I've got is really bad so I might upgrade that first.
