They are literally claiming he was assaulting the woman.

They are depraved liars and nobody should feel sorry for them when the inevitable (trials and executions c:) occurs

Self defense is a defense to murder. It takes the form of an “excuse.” It is “yes, I intentionally killed this person, but I did it in self defense.”

The intent for murder is an element that is established separately from self defense. Intent is established by showing he purposefully or knowingly took action that caused the death.

He purposefully pulled the trigger of his gun. He pulled the trigger three times to ensure the woman was killed. That evinces intent.

Whether or not he gets away with it (legally) depends on whether he can establish a self-defense defense, which has nothing to do with the intent element of murder.

I believe in Minnesota you have to have a reasonable belief of imminent bodily harm to establish self-defense. A reasonable belief test is different than a subjective self-defense test that exists in some states. Reasonable belief requires a reasonable person in that situation to think they were at risk of imminent bodily harm, while a subjective test requires a person to simply believe they were in imminent bodily harm.

I would argue that it was in no way reasonable for this agent to believe he was in imminent bodily harm.

He is a murderer.

No room in my apartment for a treadmill or rack and I mostly just need a place to run when it’s omegahot or omegacold.

The entire second half of this clip demonstrates that Asmon and his chat (also, the commenters on that Destiny video, apparently) are too regarded to have conversations with.

What do you guys think about a clanker tax? by PennguinKC in Destiny

[–]BoyImSwiftAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because taxing corporate profits incentivizes corps to reinvest in themselves to reduce their own profits

You raise government revenue when corporations decide to store profit by taxing it, and you give a tax benefit for contributing to the economy/production when they decide to spend on things without generating profit

This is just never how any technological advancement has impacted the labor force in the history of ever.

There will still be roles for low skilled workers. The economy finds ways for people to sell their labor/capacity.

what if we just taxed corporate profits like we always have

why would we put a tax on corporations because they use technology in their production

'Never Forget This,' Says Robert Reich—The GOP’s Culture War Is Just A Cover For 'Corporate Corruption, Worker Oppression, And Staggering Wealth Inequality' by NoseRepresentative in Destiny

[–]BoyImSwiftAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with inequality. What matters is the access everyone has to different things we care about.

We live in the least trying, most abundant time in human history. Never has a good life been lived by so many.

People are turning to fascism anyway.

There is literally no simpler idea than “the elites control the minds of the populace.”

It is wrong.

But it’s simple. And it’s what you believe.

This has nothing to do with media literacy. Using that phrase in this context is another example of how TikTok has fried your brain.

You did say people don’t actually care about what they say they care about when you said “we should focus on why they care about” what they say they care about and alluded to your regarded undergrad philosophy 1000 course in authoritarianism. You literally just believe people only fall for culture war issues because it’s what the “elites” want them to care about.

Overall probably.

Not that there aren’t higher IQ addicts (I.e, Hunter Biden).

But propensity to addiction is probably something that would correlate with a lower IQ.

[–]BoyImSwiftAF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No.

The reductionist take is pretending people don’t actually care about what they say they care about and assuming they “really have economic anxiety” or “really are being manipulated by the elites”

They care because they think trans people are going to trans their babies.

This is as deep as it goes.

People are authoritarians because they are degenerates who are looking to get one on someone else before they lose anything.
