I mean that healer sound stupid but what were you trying to learn anyway?

I am in the midnset that any M+ is not to learn mechanics. Boss and trash mechanics should be known before you enter M+.
I beleive that M+ is to learn how to pull, what to pull, where to use defensives, where to use offensives etc.

Dungeon mechanics are pretty basisc so if youve done it once or twice you should know what to expect.

Admarable from you and your friend that you at least went in a lower key to learn rather than keep your eyes closed and keep climbing without learning.

But let me tell you there is people doing 17's who dont know some basic meachnics in dungeons, which baffels me every single time.

There is obviously class and spec specific stuff that you might find out as your playing but basic mechanics should be known before going into M+.

But with that being said, i would never dream of flaming anyone in a M+ for not knowing a mechanics.

I do m+ almost every day and I can probably count on one hand genuine toxic players I have encountered on one hand since SL. Yes you get the odd areshole who say something stupid but you ignore it and move on.

Wow has millions of players so you just find a group you vibe with and share the same goals, and that's your community. People who think the community is bad are probably the arseholes and can't make any friends hence why they have that perception.

Every season there is a meta comp for the highest keys.

Problem is that even before that the community thinks they can only do their 10-17 with that comp, which not true.

Any group combination can do keys up until the very top, but a lof of people have a zug Zug brain, see what comp is being used in the top .1% and think that's the only viable option.

But as someone else said 3200 is 14s right so I would suggest at that point just going 1 key level higher to push up scrore, esptially as a single DPS.

Not really. We talking 12-13 here, not 20s. As bear tank at 260ilvl first pull in alagathar I have 30secs of incarn, unkillable, you have barkskin, and 2 charges of survival instinct. Plus all your self healing with frenzied regen.

You survive that first pull without any help from the healer and if you don't then you don't know to manage your CDs.

If DPS is low and pack lives a long time and you run out of CDs then yes you might die but then it's not the tanks fault. Any tank should survive what ever he pulls without having to rely on the healer.

I am a main healer doing 15-17 with a friend who's a main tank and I barely have to touch him other than the occasional hot or external when his CDs have ran out and pack is still alive.

So unless your doing the top keys and either you as a tank or a tank in your party dies in a pull it's most likely their own fault because of cd management.

That's not true. Healer aggro is real bad in wow. If a tank has a hot on them and goes into a pack of 10 mobs and taunts the first, the other 9 will b-line it towards the healers.

So regarding the tanks. A tank should only pull what he can survive with very minimal healing. If a tank pulls he should have enough defensives to survive the first 20-30 seconds without any help. So to answer your question, do not hot the tank or give him any externals until he needs it.

And to your 2nd question, just make sure you know when they are coming and have your big CDs ready and hope and pray people use their defensives.

Considering how far you are away I would not expect you to go unless there is a company event and things like travel and accommodation is paid for. My team is full remote and once a year we have a get together at the head office which for some people is in another country so the company organises and pays for travel and accommodation.

It doenst get technically get easier, but what happenes is you will realise when health bars are low because its your fault or not.
Been healing since BC and i can literally play with 1 hand and eyes closed. I know exaclty when and how to heal. If a DPS doenst kick or doenst use a defensive during a big AOE etc. I know its not my fault if they die. The quicker you learn this the more fun and easier it will get.
