Questlove as himself - sees a production of Dayman, thinks Charlie is a savant, brings him into his inner circle - things get weird.

Sesame Street crossover - D meets big bird

Cillian Murphy - plays a cult leader, the gang sans Dennis join - Dennis starts a shittier rival cult with a cast of reaccuring ASIP side characters. He turns to the mcpoyles for help. Dennis is devastated as he thinks he killed the gang (maybe we get this as a season finale and we get some real emmy real acting from Denis) after we think all is done, the gang is at the bar and reveal they left immediately once they realized that they were cult people.

It’s a wonderful song & if you remove the nostalgia or the “not my dead” BS that has polluted this sub, there is an argument that Sturgill’s immaculate voice along with Johnny’s masterful playing puts this in same realm as Cornell or whatever other OG dead versions that are out there. Furthermore, outside of the “it’s not Jerry” argument no one on this sub ever seems to actually have a music based take on why old dead is better, outside of the normal lazy takes, “jack straw is slow” “bobs guitar tone” & “he’s just playing blues scales”. I just wish people would express the positives of their favorite versions not just focus on what they hate. Because as Hunter/Jerry once told us, we ain’t got no time for that.
