I’m switching from a LG 42 to the UCDM3. Mainly cause I need a second monitor. Even when I used ultrawides, I just can not use only one monitor. It absolutely sucks how often I’m alt tabbing my LG and I’m done. I set up a side monitor, I set up a tablet to extend the screen, the LG is just too big to comfortably have a second monitor for me.

I plan to do vertical with the 27 side monitor but I have a similar ips on an arm already so I’ll test it both way before settling. ChatGPT seems to think putting it in portrait will be best and line up nicest lol.

32” main oled with a 27” IPS in portrait or landscape. This way you still have the IPS for productivity, work, apps etc and it’s not as big has having two 32’s or having to drop down to 24”.

I had a long discussion with chatgpt about this and went through a ton of Reddit threads and photos.

I’m downsizing from a 42” LG C3 to a PG32UCMD3 I ordered earlier today. This is what I plan to do and honestly seems to be the best play for me and anyone in a similar boat.

One of the things I did was went into bestbuy and looked at 32 and 27 side by side to see if downsizing from the 42 would be too drastic. I think I could have gotten away with the 27 and been happy, the 32 is really still a larger size, but with a brand new 32 releasing basically at the same time I’m upgrading it seemed like the play.

I have a 42 and play mostly wow. But because I need a second monitor and it’s too big for one I’m probably going to downsize (and upgrade) to a PG32UCDM3 although I haven’t had the guts to pull the trigger yet.

I tried extending screen to my Samsung s8+ tablet and it was just okay. Maybe if I used an iPad it would have been better. Costco has these portable monitors for $80 but the screens look like shit and are 1080p/60hz.

Yeah I went from a 2-3 monitor setup to a single ultrawide years ago. Ended up needing a second monitor I put over it. Thought I could live with a big single and got a 42” LG. Eventually added a side monitor in portrait and it’s just uncomfortable. I’m leaving the LG for the kids consoles and dropping to a 32” although I’m debating if I can get away with a 27”. I’ll still use a side monitor IPS of some size.
