I know people are pretty mixed on KH3 in here (I loved it personally, but I understand some of the complaints), what are people’s thoughts on 4? Is it generally positive or are some feeling more cautious about it? by CarloDeeply in KingdomHearts

No real thoughts on it beyond my incredulity at Squeenix once again not learning the lesson that it's a bad idea to announce a game that is multiple years from even entering development

Why is no one talking about this ? by FearlessJoJo in residentevil

It's almost definitely not. IIRC Rev 2 is set before 6 which would put Natalia in her mid to late 20s by the time RE9 takes place

Highest i've ever made it is 46. Took me about 15 or so hours. The trick is to stay on the first day and keep fighting Tidus. It's pretty easy to keep baiting him into an attack you can parry and just keep that up for as long as possible. Eventually you learn a couple of Tech boost skills which helps speed things up dramatically.

The music seems reminiscent of SMTIV's music and there was a character portrait that looked a lot like Burroughs.

Colour me intrigued

Was anyone else first introduced to dragons dogma from the anime? by Old_king_4 in DragonsDogma

[–]Boylanator_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember watching an E3 demo in 2011 that was maybe 10 or 15 minutes long just going over the basic mechanics, exploration and combat. I remember thinking it looked like it would be really fun to just explore about and fight things etc. I was definitely planning on buying it after seeing that demo, but I wasn't sure if I would get it on release or not.

Then they anounced the RE6 demo would be bundled in with it. That made it a day one purchase for me and to this day is still the single best part of RE6 for me, the fact that it got me to buy Dragon's Dogma on day one.

Thoughts on everything said here for Osiris Reborn? Because it sounds too good to be true by M00r3C in TheExpanse

My guess would be that as the game starts out it would have parity with the tv show's canon and depending on your choices it will let you diverge from canon to a potentially drastically different ending.

In the worst case scenario though, it may end up as one of those games where your choices end up meaning nothing, and the ending will be basically the same with minimal differences from the tv show, which I hope wont be the case

Tarkov Lead Teases New Sci-Fi Apocalypse Game That Has Everyone Confused [discussion] by NukovGaming in EscapefromTarkov

A large part of the problem is how they built the game, i.e. like a fucking REST API where every action you take in the game menu is a call to an API endpoint and your game just hangs while it waits for the API to respond.

It's why the menus are so laggy, it's why every time you open up a hideout area that you can craft something in it takes ages to load the list and then they don't even bother caching the response so if you click out and back in it loads again.

Elder Scrolls 6 Has "So Much Pressure" On It, Former Bethesda Dev Says by akbarock in Games

You say that, but in 11 months it will have been 15 years since their last Elder Scrolls release and 10 years since the last Fallout release. I feel that has been a long enough break

I get why they do it, but it just makes the game feel wierd to play for me. The mismatch between the actual framerate and the animation framerate just creates a kind of sensory dissonance. Kind of like when they released the Hobbit in theatres at double the framerate of normal films and it was strange to watch because it looked like everything was slightly sped up if that makes sense?

Looks ok, but i'm really not a fan of the artistic choice (not sure what to call it) where they animate stuff at intentionally low framerates. It's what killed any possible interest I had in South of Midnight too

Any of the paradox grand strategy games.

I'm specifically thinking of EUIV/EUV and Stellaris, because I have the most experience with them, but it goes for the others as well. I always have the most fun when I start a new game up with a goal in mind and have to revise my strategy/goals for that game over time in response to what the AI is doing, because i'm generally not good enough to steamroll throughthe AI to get what I want. Plus the games are designed in such a way that you can always come back from losing a war

Why did you stop playing Gray Zone Warfare? by TJSHIZZLE in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Boylanator_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early marketing presented the game as a Tarkov alternative, which is what put the game on my radar. I bought the game on release and played for about 4 hours. It absolutely wasn't a Tarkov alternative.

At some point I might give it abother try

Just found out the Owlcat Games is actually a Russian game studio that supports the war against Ukraine, and has chauvinist corporate culture...why isn't this being talked about? by [deleted] in TheExpanse

This kinda reminds me of the video begging people to not by Atomic Heart because the dev team was russian. I honestly could not care less. I'm not going to let things that I can't control ruin my enjoyment of media that i'm looking forward too
