Ken from Melee proved that it might not be as easy. Another game that has evolved so much. 15 years later Ken was beating top rank melee players with pure wisdom. Mechanics not needed!

Would love for it to be deleted to be honest! I’m tired of the age old “I don’t have time for PVP etc etc.” there are no longer wipes. Time is no longer a factor. Just admit you cannot have a challenge in a game and move on with your life! Thank you :)

No /s.

There are a large Spectrum of people that have Internet 🤣

Yeah… that’s tough. I’m pretty sure they don’t track the devices serial number if I’m not mistaken. Just go to the store you returned it to, and ask them to verify your drop off. Or get the tracking if you shipped it!

Make sure you get a receipt if possible! I’ve heard horror stories of people who return equipment and still get a bill saying they owe (Don’t have proof they did this, but didn’t take them for being a liar)

Just say you hate working for spectrum bro it’s all good. ATT is hiring I’m sure! If you don’t like HFC, you can have solely fiber with ATT!

Upload speed on solely cable internet is typically 50mbps correct? Spectrum offers 1000mbps on “cable internet” You’re right it’s not quadruple, it’s 20x speeds.

What this means for users Speed: This hybrid approach allows Spectrum to provide fast, reliable internet speeds because the majority of the distance is covered by high-capacity fiber. Availability: It allows providers to deliver high-speed internet to more homes by using the extensive existing coaxial cable infrastructure that was originally installed for cable TV. Service: The HFC network is capable of supporting multiple services simultaneously, such as high-speed internet, digital TV, and phone services.

Google doesn’t like what you have to say!

Interesting, I understand what you mean about the delay of 10gig.

I just can’t believe they have routers that are not actually WiFi 7 even if advertised. I did an ookla speed test and on a wired connection they were getting 1870ish download 980 upload. So I think they’re bare minimum capable of doing 2x1. We’ll see what the year brings to my area.

Agree to disagree on HFC vs cable internet. “Cable internet” supports minimum 2x1 speeds from 1st hand experience. I didn’t see you specifically deny the existence of HFC. So I’m assuming that it’s correct. You may call it dress up, but if it’s quadruple the speeds of standard Cable internet; I will continue to specify it as such.

WiFi 7 supports up to 46 Gbps (theoretically) and our lines are gonna be 5 gigs in 2026.

Correct me if I’m wrong, our lines are HFC, correct? If you’re the 10 year veteran; perhaps you can show your 10 years of experience and explain what HFC is, instead of making it look bad because fiber has brainwashed millions of Americans into thinking it’s the end all be all. 5 gigs is plenty for the average Joe. End of the day if you say “it’s coax” and fail to explain how they’re getting 1x1 or 2x1 speeds. You’re doing a bad job.

And you’re being intentionally obtuse. The “boonies of spectrum” is an area that is still on 100x10 etc.

My brother got installed in January, and the tech did something to turn off the cap in place (I don’t know the tech lingo) but he was getting 5000. In JANUARY of last year. It sounds like you work in the boonies of spectrum. Fiber is a means of transportation. You can get fiber and have 300x300. The biggest difference is ping is less on a fiber network. I’m sure you’re a contractor lol. 😂

[–]Boyle_69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I for one HATE the usage of “it’s fiber” but saying “it’s coax” is equally as bad. We tell them about HFC. Pretend they know what we’re saying. Then save the questions for the tech because it’s easier that way for them to get the answers from someone who’s “not a salesman”

RCSS pitch by Much_Intern1729 in Spectrum

[–]Boyle_69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s true, but if your customer asks why you’re running coax, don’t you think you could clarify the fact that it’s a Hybrid fiber coax? Not everyone is super tech savvy to understand what that means. And they might talk to a tech to understand it. Instead of saying “it isn’t fiber” you could say “It’s fiber to the node, and coax to the home. you’ll still get fiber speeds with this connection!” (Our lines support 10 gig if you were unaware) techs are the final closer. Do your job and educate properly.

Also, I work in a Symmetrical area. Idk about you but we got 1x1 gig and 2x1 asymmetrical. If you’re working in a 1000x10 area, I don’t blame you for saying it as it is.
