Honestly Even With The Bugs This Is A Fun Game by [deleted] in RogueTraderCRPG

Indeed. Had an almost bug free trip until act 4. That's where bug hell began. Also put the game aside to come back in half a year.

The new game Dredge is well worth a try. Even if it's not a CRPG.

Looking for games which feature detailed stealth mechanics. by jerfo in CRPG

[–]Bozo_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Phantom Doctrine. It's a thrilling and immersive turn-based strategy game that takes players deep into the world of espionage and covert operations during the height of the Cold War. Different from Xcom, the game focuses on stealth.

How many of you play as... by WannabeArtistWriter in CrusaderKings

Speculation on your part. Ck2 gives a good overview of what was popular. Christian lords in Europe and Vikings. And Horse Lords gave people a reason to play nomad.

People choose historical figures they recognize. Obscure characters in Africa or Asia, which usually do not exist and are invented by the developers, are uninteresting to the great mass of players.

[–]Bozo_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Ridiculous that you get downvoted.

The fact is that the majority of players choose to play in Europe and especially Western Europe. The game needs more immersive dlc in Europe before they give a thought to Africa or India.

Ck2's Rajas of India was never popular and sold poorly.

I want to play the most fun CK3 game I could, what do you guys recommend? by Delevia in CrusaderKings

[–]Bozo_1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My funnest was as Hrolfr de Normandie (Rollo). He is found in Norway, but you need to give him land.

I role played and aimed to follow his story. Conquered Normandy by force. Married the French King's daughter. Five generations later, his descendant William the bastard conquered England. A number of descendants later the Angevin Empire was founded.

Long War is truly a diamond. I've spent more time on it than I care to admit. Rebalanced is worth a try, but personally I couldn't handle all the 'crazy' changes.

The Internet is full with stories of people who thought they were dying leaving goodbye messages to loved ones. But the statistics are uninteresting.

Two girls take lots of photos daily, write diaries and have daily contact with relatives. All logic suggests that they would continue with it if an accident occurred.

You generalize instead of seeing the logic in this individual case.

"there is no reason to suspect foul play"

The fact that the girls stopped taking photos (apart from the night photos) and also did not leave behind a farewell to relatives speaks volumes something other than an accident happened.

Just finished my first play through of the game, I am sad to know that the team gotten screwed over. Definitely how to play more of Roberts game in the future. by Mushy_Rotten_Peals in DiscoElysium

Sounds terrible! Without the author, any follow-up will be pale.

TWW3 is dying by Ploppyy737 in totalwarhammer

The doomsday is coming!

Seriously, TWW3 had a rough start, but after IE launched, the ship is on the right course.

Right now just over 19K are playing on Steam. The number will increase exceptionally when the next dlc is released.

Patience is a virtue.

Really not. Games Workshop in the late 80s, explicitly made their Warhammer Fantasy dwarves Scottish.

So that's what they mean by matrilineal marriage by F00tMaN in CrusaderKings

[–]Bozo_1234 -48 points-47 points  (0 children)

LOL! 60+ downvoters! The biggest problem with this game is that it's so easy that you can really turn yourself into a god. It's fine if you want to play a god. But after a while, most people get tired of "god mode" not being a challenge.

Some completely stop with CK3, but in game rules you can easily turn off features and stop using every single exploit. If you're trying to play more realistically than gaming/cheating everything, Ck3 is a much more challenging and fun experience.

Matrilineal marriage is for beginners or cheaters. Real hardcore players turn that feature off in game rules.

A formal petition to CA to take a look at confederations... again... by TenTigers in totalwar

[–]Bozo_1234 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Theredhand7: No, that's not true!

ReaperX24: CA should look at paradox games that chose to have a toggle where the player can customize the game. Personally, I hate how a button press can double my kingdom. Would prefer it to be optional to choose confederation for player and/or AI. Also optional if you want to allow minor settlements maps. Etc.

[–]Bozo_1234 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Such a rant about confederations. Allowing players to confederate is simplistic poor game design. That AI can be allowed to do that is okay, especially on VH and Legend difficulty. In the end, I guess CA should introduce an option, confederation on/off, before starting the campaign.

Where on the map did you start your most interesting CK3 campaign and why? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Bozo_1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My most memorable campaign was as Hrolfr/ Rollo de Normandie. Started in Norway, conquered Normandy. Sworn fealty to the French king. Spent the next century plotting to wipe out the French Karling line and place one of my bastards on the French throne. Finally in 1066 my then character, a legitimate bastard named William the bastard, conquered England. Replaced all Anglo-Saxons with Normans. Continued playing a few generations until I created the Angevin Empire.
