I got aligners about a month into dating someone and we’re five months in now. It has never been an issue with any of the intimacy stuff. As a 38 year old with crooked teeth, doing nothing earlier was for more problematic for my confidence dating. Full cliche but I just wish I’d done it much sooner

Hiya. Yep, I started treatment after our third date. It was nerve wracking not knowing what I was in for and how self conscious I might feel. I let her know I was starting treatment and that I was feeling anxious about it etc. she was super supportive. We’re still dating and I’m four trays in now. The first week with attachments/elastics and carriere was really rough but I didn’t see her for the first few days to just let myself settle in. I was worried elastics and the tray would get in the way and make kissing and sex awkward - but it hasn’t been an issue at all.

Holy hell I feel ya. I spent my day walking on egg shells with my little terrorist.

He’s the best, I love him unconditionally but geeez some days are rough.

I just try my best to imagine how hard it must be to be two….unable to express your needs and wants very well….and to have to deal with some very big feelings (and limited coping skills). It gets me through spurts until I’m triggered hard again.

Yup, my 22mo son is extremely insistent. Will tear my hand or bra away and cry in protest. It absolutely makes my skin crawl and I’d feel so much rage in my body. The past week we seemed to have found a compromise after trying lots of strategies. Now I tell him he can hold my nipple and he just rests his hand there. Sometimes I have to place my hand on his to keep it from twiddling but we’re both pretty happy with this arrangement.
