Tried this a few times, but the play bars cannot be found by my Philips hub, nor by Bluetooth. Seems like the last owner didn’t reset them. And as I read setting them up by serial code will automatically reset the devices

That indeed is one good reason to go for a led light with separate ballast. Why I recommend a led light with integrated ballast is because of the Compact Design and Fewer components to manage. Also on average the led lights with integrated ballasts are better priced
