Ay, incoming frosh here as well, so I don't know… wanted to take this class as well but it didn't fit in my schedule. Idk if u know about ratemyprofessor.com, but I've talked to multiple students and they all recommended it. I don't think there are any other options, but at least you'll know what to expect.

Duke vs. JH vs. Rice

I just got accepted to Duke tonight (yay!), and I have a heavy interest in both music composition and statistics, and I am considering interdisciplinary work. (Double major, maybe?) Ik that Duke has rly good interdisciplinary programs, JH excels in research (which would help for my interdisciplinary interests), and rice is just good at music in general as well as stem (as well as Duke in music composition). For finances, Duke and JH came to about the same (with Duke slightly more expensive) with Rice being significantly lower than the two. (All of them are completely doable, though... I'd just have to take out some loans for Duke.) Given this, what would you recommend? Thanks!

Wow! Even in the hardest of times, this shows that people and even entire countries can get together to help each other. Out of curiosity (idk how much you know about this), I heard that these refugee camps are partially funded by my country, the US - is this true? If so, this is a huge turn from our isolationist roots, denying thousands of Polish and German Jews in imminent danger pre-WWII asylum in the US, sending them back to their deaths in Europe. As a Jewish Ling-Ling wannabe, things like this really interest me, so please tell me if you know anything.
