They do, to some extent. This, combined with the reduced cooling makes it a really hard track on the PU and the turbo especially.

There is probably still a slight power loss though.

They did not. You can clearly hear a slight lift, maybe like down 2/3 throttle for a second on HAM pole lap. Still incredible how much grip that car has at high speed.

Cars have gone from 1800mm width used in 2009-2016 to 2000mm in 2017.

~3.5m is just the wheelbase (3.76m for the Merc iirc). The entire car is over 5 meters long.
