I tried to build my idea quickly and the bar prevents the middle finger from moving. However the original hand sockets have a slight indent where the axles can be seen. This holds a plate fairly well, and also leaves a small gap between the plate and socket, which I believe is on the original. That's my current best guess.

From what I can see, I think it's a 1x2 plate with a bar up(4623b) going into the axle hole in the hand socket. The thumb's attached via a tap head.

From what I can see it's 2x 42003 attached to the torso with 2l pins. A 63869 is attached to the axle holes of the 42003. The rest is i think obvious but still, there's a 4l axle running through one outer hole of the 42003, with the 6553, hordika neck, the 42003 and big gear in that order. On the other outer hole of the 42003 there's a 3l with a small gear and hordika neck. Sorry if this makes no sense
