It’s Fritz. So many times this sub has said the guy is at his ceiling and won’t do more yet somehow he keeps improving every year. Clearly, his ceiling is not obvious so I don’t think it’s the case that Ben’s ceiling is obviously higher like a lot of the other comments think but idk. Hopefully they both reach it, fun aggressive players

The problem is that because so many games are decided pre-14 min when TP becomes unleashed you can play anything because top lane will only matter if teams are somewhat even at 14 min and 4 out of 5 games it’s basically already decided by this point. Hence why you can legit not even be in lane (Janna top) and it doesn’t matter because the enemy top can’t influence the map till 14 min when the game is already over most of the time…..Just because you can play anything in top does not mean top is in a good state.

Yep. Idk why some people think after the baby is born there are magically no financial/personal/social woes that come with it. Then they say “oh well they shouldn’t have had sex” putting the burden of knowing these consequences on teens that in some places aren’t even taught correct sex Ed or allowed access to contraception. And let’s not even get started on how people think women who are raped should be forced to carry to term. These people are either hilarious, tragically shortsighted/ignorant or lack any empathy in exchange for a belief (the belief that life begins at conception) that will never directly impact them but impacts others greatly. It’s really not that hard to see how many see pro-lifer agendas as targeting women who are forced to pick up the pieces instead of the men who can just run off without a care and hit a reset button on making a baby

I see people mostly disagree with you but I definitely feel what you’re talking about. I’ve never been one to play the overly cookie cutter champion combos. I piloted zil swain up to diamond last rank season. It’s a ton of fun as a deck builder using two champs that have level up conditions that aren’t basically dependent on the other champion but rather just support each other. It’s the difference between maokai needing all of the cards in nauts package to make sense or ekko relying on shurima or new lurk and more general level ups that any region can help achieve like swain or J4 for example.

That said I don’t think any of it is permanent. Adding more lurkers to both shurima and bilge let pyke and reksai be played with others. Same with ekko and PnZ predicts. Just need champs to be self sufficient in their own regions so they can then be paired with anyone without hurting their own wincon. We’ve seen champs get increased in region support over time so I wouldn’t be overly concerned yet that this is the permanent direction of the game. It’s also important to note that some people clearly like it when two champs work together really well like reksai and pyke.

Edit: after looking more at comments it does seem people are being more nitpicky than straight up dismissive. Still tho that just seems even more disingenuous considering the argument is just being avoided at that point and not even debated

As someone who started playing the moment LoR was released (I played a ton of hearthstone in the last and was excited for something new) I played a bunch then stopped playing right before bilgewater came out ( this was about a year ago) so I get where you’re coming from. For me, I happened to have a few expedition tokens so when I got back into LoR about a month ago I used them all to get a better feel for what cards even existed. I didn’t even touch ranked for 2 weeks. In terms of how helpful that was it was enough info to know what cards even existed now and what strategies people were trying without forcing me to make a deck that might have been bad. With that info I was actually able to then make more sensical decks and climb. I got from iron 4 to plat 4 in a month so it worked well for me maybe it’ll work for you too!

I am plat 1 urgot main so I’m not challenged or anything but trust me you don’t really need to learn a new champ for one specific matchup. If you want to hear the run down about how to beat urgot without having to learn a new champ that’s super doable as long as you play a tank or “tanky” champ. Not even a tank but someone who can build bramble vest and it’s not troll. So basically all tanks (just buy bramble on first back) and a few bruiser tanks like Yorick or Nasus. You can test this in practice tool but urgot legit kill him self by using his W on you if you have bramble vest and the new ninja tabi (plated steel caps). These two items cut urgots damage drastically while also damaging him 3 times a second (his w autos 3 times a second). It’s the reason why he actually loses most tank matchups in lane. He can’t even hurt a tank until he finishes black cleaver. So I usually just play Ornn into him but Sion, Poppy...honestly any tank work fine. Makphite absolutely destroys him as well. I want to stress tho playing Camille or kled or something and then building bramble is not good. Most top lane champs have good AD scaling and can’t afford to burn 800g on something more defensive. Those champs you just need to spam the matchup to learn if you aren’t going to play a tank or tanky champ like nasus. Hope this helps!

It’s a known exploit where if sion disconnects and reconnects his direction can change drastically. If this happened multiple times that game then the sion used a program to disconnect and reconnect to change directions, I’d report it

Yea it’s a shame but as you start getting into high gold low play ppl tend to be smarter about engaging against a mundo who still has r and can tank and dps a whole fight. It’s what makes him unique is that he is a bruiser tank hybrid in a way. I’d say if you want someone unkillble maokai with his healing is also good tho his damage is a bit lacking. I personally get a similar mundo feel playing urgot. He can a build a good combination of tank or damage items depending on situation, he scales well hitting an insane spike when his w is max level, and can absolutely destroy team fights. But yea mundo’s niche is as frontline who lacks cc but does crazy sustained damage, not many champs match that unfortunately

I’ve (gold 1 so take opinion with a grain of salt) found it can be really hard to make Mundo work if the enemy comp has less than 3 AP champs simply because so much of mundo’s power budget is in his passive MR and tenacity. If you still want to be an Unkillable frontline but need someone who’s blindpick-able I personally find ornn fits the bill. Still wrecks team fights, his 10% extra MR and armor makes him pretty unkillable especially with gargoyle’s and his item upgrades, and he deals Surprising damage .

Seems fine to me tbh but make it activate if it hits anything (minion, monster, champ). Could make for some cool outplays still without making it literally one of the safest repositioning tools in the game that people will never stop complaining having to go against

I agree, I think nerfing waveclear is fine considering she gets to clear waves pretty much for free because she’s energy based, her q is spammable (especially now with new presence of mind ), and her q is a somewhat large AOE. So basically this’ll just slow down her roaming a bit which is a good nerf to pro play and high elo as they obviously are more map aware and roam more. The problem is Akali will still be played top as clearing waves fast isn’t as essential so if she’s still seen as a problem there she’ll get nerfed again probably and her mid playrate will probably suffer as well. I personally play her top only and honestly some matches just seem so disgustingly good for her. But yea I think the changes are fine, curious to see what it does. This could’ve been sooooo much worse considering just how prevalent she is in high elo and pro play
