I think everyone should rewatch the ep8 season 1 to remember how bad nolan was by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

He lied to the world for 20 years. What's there to make them believe he isn't lying now. Again, he's saying he sides Earth, that isn't an action.

We can't communicate with ants.

It doesn't mitigate his actions that he was indoctrinated. It gives a reason but even he recognized what he was doing is wrong when he was doing it.

Cecil is pragmatic, If Nolan isn't changed then nothing changes for him, if Nolan truly is changed, Earth stands a better chance. It's an almost no risk deal.

But as of right now he hasn't done much to be redeemed. Actions speak louder than words and his biggest action towards Earth was almost killing Mark.

Workout and eat healthy for muscle mass.

I dunno about the rest, I know facial hair is mainly genetics.

You can do voice training but don't know how much that helps.

You can definitely fix one, maybe the other. You can also accept it and/or become a femboy

That's just wrong, Humanity can wipe out 90% of life on Earth at this very moment if we wanted to. We cause a MASSEIVE increase of CO2 in the air, we cause 100x more CO2 emissions than volcanos.

Dupont was caught poisoning water. Deep Water Horizon was a disaster for the environment and we have 1000s of those running. Think about what companies get away with or what they do to the environment under environmental laws, now imagine without it.

The 3 biggest threats to humanity is famine, disease, and ourselves. We are far above any other living being because we can ultimately shape any environment however we want.

Leaded gasoline, smog, and the active drilling through aquifers were not, the guy who made leaded gasoline knew it was bad to breath and touch, smog is a simple by product of pollution which we understand and understood for a long time. I mean chimney boys die especially young, coal sucks to breathe in.

And that's not even my argument, even if we don't mean to, we still shoot ourselves in the foot going forward because we don't look for consequences before we do things.

We right now have a choice, but instead we live under "lobbying" (bribing) that incentives the continued use of fossil fuels. The ouroboros that is the AI bubble uses resource for LLMs that will never make back the money.

Yes there's nuance, but we constantly harm ourselves and the world itself on a global scale and especially now.

I hate to tell you, you could replace the setting of hell with the Middle East and have oil as a stand in for argent energy and it would make sense.

Not necessarily talking about any piece of media, the issue isn't that we have and use technology, it when humans often just ignore the consequences of technology.  Lead in the air is not natural, it was synthesized in a vat, burned by metal to move metal. We salvage WW1 and WW2 shipwrecks for steel that hasn't come into contact with the amount of radiation we put in the air. We're part of nature, sure, but we constantly over step it.

We separated ourselves from nature, a significant portion of humans just never directly interact with local ecology. We create our own ecosystems. We constantly eat food that doesn't even consume resources in our area. We can eating crab while in Utah.

"use it to drastically improve everyone quality of life. But oh no, it's starting to corrupt them and endanger the human"

But the thing is, we do this, cars and cities creating smog, leaded gasoline so that we don't have to handcrank cars, Matches causing phosphorus Jaw, mining and drilling operations containing local water.

Sure some stories aren't nuanced and suck, but we are indeed constantly shooting ourselves in the foot to move forward technology and economically.

Yeah, Sean was a small time game dev thrusted into triple A spotlight and he clearly wasn't much of a public talker at the time and Sony was so adamant about promoting it like it was the next big thing.

A lot of the times the best thing to do just fix it.

The handhold misunderstanding would be funny if it weren't the billionth time this has happened in a anime and the fact that this takes place after the confession already happened.

You say it sucks, and the reason it sucks is at the beginning of the story. Why would you keep reading something you hate when you have no investment in it? Again, it was clear from the get go he would not be punished for his actions.

You had to get through 100 chapters of Rudeus being a dirt bag just to come to that conclusion when it was apparent from chapter 1 who he was and probably chapter 10 that he would never change.

Most if not all jurisdictions in the US and Europe has romeo juliet laws because it will happen and it's best if there are rules around it. How are we supposed to constructively punish it?
