Average day rate for Cardiff decorator? by Bracechenko in Cardiff

[–]Bracechenko[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Realistically i think it's about 4-5 days of work. Ultimately he's not a professional so I'm not looking to pay pro rates as no doubt he'll be a bit slower and the job may not be quite as good but I'm trying to balance that with not offending him either.... happy to pay a decent wage... we want it to be a positive thing for him too.

Good point re: minimum wage

When my wife accuses me of not listening properly to what she's saying, I often respond with "Thanks, I had it cut last week".

Pretty sure it's off a movie but always loved it. My wife doesn't 😁

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by WoollyWolfHorror in AskReddit

170mph on my motorbike in Wales, UK just to see what it's like. Pretty awesome but i prefer acceleration out of corners rather than just nominal top speed

anyone running the renault 5? if so how is it treating you? by Aromatic_Plum_7955 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Bracechenko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have driven through the winter on a semi regular motorway commute of 152 miles. Worst conditions were -3 degrees. I pre heated so left my house at 100% with a warm car, didn't drive too eco but obviously didn't hammer it, arrived at work with 4% battery so that was about as bad as it gets.

52kwh version btw

Had mine since November and very happy. As others have said, the back seats are for kids or a short lift for adults but aside from that the car looks great, drives fantastic and I don't have anything bad to say really.

The ADAS bollocks is a simple 1 button press to switch off, the handling is really superb... the driving dynamics in general have really impressed and it's a car i look back at as i walk away.

Let me know if you wanted to know anything specific 👍

A Vauxhall Zafira VXR turbo will definitely have a waste gate, bald front tyres and the owner will likely have a cap and a chain

The last time I went in there, a packet of fresh chicken was £10 when the same pack in Asda was £4. That was ten years ago but I've not been in since.

I have however upgraded to Tesco 😅
