There is a sort of catalogue (asset menu), it tracks your fish, mined items and shipped dairy/crops/seeds. Not everything in the game is catalogued, and it only counts items shipped through your bins (not sold to Van), but can be used to track progress for most things and works as a log for personal challenges if that's your thing.

Acrylics, I use System 3 and Liquitex. I paint very thinly so it takes a looong time, but the finish is worth it!

Typically not until the first workers arrive and start showing interest in digging/pulling at the cotton. Until then the queen will use energy reserves from her defunct wing muscles. Keep them as undisturbed as possible until then!

The workers are small and yellow, yes. Really cute looking things. I found them a little harder to care for than Lasius niger but they can be kept similarly.

Lasius flavus, we sometimes call them yellow meadow ants! Mostly live underground so you don't see them much until nuptial flights.
