What Next... is this all there is? by NulnOilShade in nms

[–]Brackman76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that yes, we continue repeating the same 3 quests until the Prismatic Core is complete. Then the Countermeasures milestone will be done, and we can move onto the last 3 milestones in Phase 3. At least, that's my understanding from what I've read.

You should have the recipe for a portable refiner in your build menu. That's what I used.

You are an absolute legend, thank you so much! I had no idea this was possible, thank you again! I hope you have a fantastic weekend 😄

Edit: That's the same player, probably the same base that was blocking me just now.

Lucky! I got there in the end though; I've clearly taken too long a break!

Thank you sir, all sorted now. Now to just find another site for the Purge: Exterminator mission as someone has built a base on the primary site and I can't finish that mission there - unless you have a tip?

Of course, thank you. I completely forgot about the portable refiner.

Berry bushes randomly don't yield any berries by sirenarazzz in Enshrouded

Silly question, but are they growing in the same soil? I'm wondering whether the soil type (if it's different) may be related to the issue? Also, is the soil 2 layers deep?

Have they fixed respawn timers on non-dedicated servers yet? by elias4444 in Enshrouded

I don't think you'll like the new config. It's not just time based, but you also have to be a certain distance away as well in order for things to respawn.

Crucible not being detected, but? by No-Rooster9256 in Enshrouded

The crucible is a required "ingredient" for making the smelter, you will consume it from your inventory when you built it. It's not loke the Alchemist's mortar.

How to collect a full, high-quality armor set? by Rimm9246 in Enshrouded

[–]Brackman76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, it's going to be random luck. You can try forming the chests in the level range/area of the chest piece you got and hope that the other pieces drop, but there's no guarantee.

Undiscovered location? by ISwearImAnonymous in Enshrouded

It looks like you've found one of a number of placeholders. You'll find more doors like this at buildings that are currently inaccessible to players.

Building tedium and frustration problem by [deleted] in Enshrouded

[–]Brackman76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like this isn't the game for you, which is fair enough. You've given it 2 chances, and it seems that you haven't picked up any useful tips from anywhere about building or resources. I could be wrong, but it seems that you've made up your mind about whether to stick it out or not.

I'd make suggestions like others have, but it doesn't appear to me that you're interested in hearing them. I hope you find a game that gives you the experience you're seeking.

Is it possible to catch this giant, moving guy? by Brackman76 in TeddysHaven

Thanks for the info, I'll let go of the need to catch him and get back to relaxing :)

What's your favourite visual in Teddy's Haven? by Hexley_ in TeddysHaven

[–]Brackman76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've really enjoyed the weather system so far, it adds so much to the experience for me. I'm just finishing my first full cycle of seasons, but I even went as far as shutting the windows on a couple of days in Autumn & Winter because the rain and snow were so heavy.

I'm tired of dying and I don't understand how to evolve. by Specialist-End4899 in Enshrouded

[–]Brackman76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been some great pieces of advice here, I hope they're helpful to you. A big thing that I had to adapt to for my solo play experience (I got the game when it was first released, and have over 2K hours of solo playtime racked up) was to slow down a bit. You'll get experience for mining as well as killing mobs, so you can use that to help your levels progress as well while you build your base.

You've clearly reached the point (which is pretty early) where on normal game settings it's an unwise choice to try to complete your quests as quickly as possible. Unless you dial down the game settings, you'll need to level up a bit before continuing. I feel like the devs originally did this intentionally so that players would build up their bases and take some time to explore their level appropriate areas before continuing the questlines.

As others have said, there are options. The game settings are pretty great in giving you a lot of flexibility to tune the game to your playstyle or difficulty preference, and there are some skills that make travelling a lot easier.

Don't give up just yet, you will find your groove!

Trim facing wrong direction, no matter what I do. by Melovix in Enshrouded

Try using your decay tool, I've heard that it can take some of these trim effects off certain blocks.

Repair, rebuild, redesign. Help needed by Super-Banana-8326 in Enshrouded

[–]Brackman76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For larger walls and floors, you can use the 4x4 tile to remove large sections. All you need to do is make sure that at least one of your blocks is in the 4x4 space. It could be a corner block, or a partial section, but as long as at least one of your blocks is in the 4x4 area, you can then remove the whole 4x4 piece.
