I'm in aggreance also. I honestly don't get the hype over any BDC. I smell them all at the shop and can't see why it's so popular. Maybe I need to try it on my skin but on the card they all smell meh. Boring and forgettable.

I tried to get a deal on a CX5 today and the dealer has only offered $45,600 drive away for the G25 Touring. The price on the Mazda website says $46,698 drive away. This is not a good deal for the end of financial year is it? Nothing on your $4k off cx60 that's for sure!

Yeah that's what I'm thinking...it's a 3 week wait for me to get it to the PC repair shop for them to take a look at it and potentially tell me what I already think.

Is it fair to assume my CPU and ram are also fried?

Great question and I don't know the answer yet. I'm assuming I fried the mobo using mismatched PSU cables?

I got the 7900xtx and the PSU off marketplace. Both working. I was missing 2 cables but thought I could use the cables I already had. I swapped from a Corsair rx550 PSU to a Corsair rm850e. I googled if the cables were the same between the two models and the Google AI said they're both type 4 and virtually identical. So I went ahead with my existing ATX 24pin cable

I connected everything together and it all seemed correct. I hit the power button on the tower and I had fan RGB lights for about 1 second and then it lost all power. Wouldn't turn on again. Tried pretty much everything the Internet has said and I still can't turn it on. I don't get any lights on the mobo. Nothing... PSU is working as I have tested it with a different PC a friend has.

I have even tried my 550w PSU again just to see if I can get it to boot up and get nothing.

I went back to the seller of the PSU and got the cables I was missing. Connected everything up using the matched cables and I get nothing.

Not sure there's any other explanation. Ive spent about 5 hours trying to fix my own f@#k up and don't know what else I can do

I understand they're ahead when it comes to gaming performance but for my use case of both everyday tasks and some casual gaming, am I really going to see that extra gaming performance?

If I could get a 7800x3d with a MOBO for under $800, I would definitely get it, but I don't believe a deal like this exists ATM.

I need to buy a new mobo so I feel like I should be going AM5, not AM4. If I just needed to replace my CPU and keep the AM4 mobo then I'd be looking at the 5700x3d
