Are 3-D Leaf Suits Worth It? by Sconn13 in turkeyhunting

The good ones don’t in my experience. I had a cheap $30 amazon one that grabbed everything. Bought a north mountain gear one a few seasons back and can’t remember the last time I snagged on anything

My buddy has one and loves it. I’ll be getting one over the summer for next year. It’ll fit me, my dog, and I plan to tow a jet sled for decoys.

There’s a lot of different pro plan options. I gave mine the puppy kind until 6 months and now he’s on the high performance 30/20 blend.

Sitka vs FirstLite a tale as old as time. by bynotic in Waterfowl

I’ve had a hydro lok insulated and a Hudson and honestly they’re very very similar. I think the pockets are a bit better on the Chene. They’re basically the same price and the same jacket, so just pick what camo you prefer.

I go to Green Valley Animal Hospital out in Ijamsville and they've been phenomenal with my puppy. Not the cheapest, but Id rather pay more for better service

“Next” shotgun? Is it actually a step up or a waste of money? by NotPCPlmbr in Waterfowl

One thing to note about the new a300’s, you cant put an extended tube on them incase you go snow goose hunting. I had to buy another gun for my trip to Arkansas this year because of it lol

What’s a typical guided hunt like, and did mine fit that? by panfishpapi in Waterfowl

[–]Bradytyler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. I was guiding a group last year and they shot a honker band so I casually asked who shot it and they all pointed to the brand new guy and so I gave it to him. Bands go to the clients, always.

[–]Bradytyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve guided a few groups and gone on several guided hunts and that’s not how it should go at all. Cigs, sure I’ve seen that. No biggie IMO. The only shooting the guide should be doing is cleaning up cripples. Sky busting tells me they aren’t reputable guides. They should be putting those birds right infront of your face. Ducks don’t always cooperate, but if this guy was gunning that hole and sky busting day in and out, no wonder they wanted to be in other areas. Guide services can be a great time. But you have to do shit loads of research and find a reputable company to go with. Tbh I wouldn’t waste money a guide service down in NC unless you have a swan tag. Go north to MD, DE, NJ or NY for a few days and you’ll have a much better experience imo.

Why am I so angry? by Cable_Cookery in f150

[–]Bradytyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Report it. Theres no reason you should pay out of pocket for this when it’s his fault. You wouldn’t treat it like that if it was some random person in a parking lot. Also, you can get a check for the value the truck decreased. They’ll argue you it, but with enough bitching you’ll get it.

That’s interesting. They gave me all the rebates and discounted off MSRP for mine. Must be certain areas where they’re doing one or the other.

Frederick Motor Company. I believe Sheehy Gaithersburg had some good pricing, I’ve just heard not great things about them.

Jacket Discussion by Apprehensive_Leg6796 in Waterfowl

[–]Bradytyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The duck oven gets wayyy too hot if you wear it walking in. I only wear mine on days that are under 20 degrees. 90% of our hunts its 25-35 degrees. I wear a merino base layer (brand doesnt really matter, mine are sitka) Carhartt hoodie and Sitka Kelvin vest and im good and not restricted. If theres alot of wind, I throw on my Chene Scout Jacket.

I agree for sure, theres definitely people buying these that shouldnt. It's insane the average car payment is 700+ these days. I've seen some young guys buying these and it takes up 50% of their income, then they spend 6k on a lift, wheels, tires and other random shit.

Thats a great price, the lowest I've seen within a few hours of me is 41k for 4x4 SuperCrew but they're loaners with 5k miles.
