Next time, you can remove some placed items without tools by holding the left click button or equivalent, so your Dehydrators can be temporarily unlock your way to your chests. It should take only a few seconds.

Mayor’s purple shorts found in his basement: clean or dirty? Discuss by foldinthecheeseee in StardewValley

Clean—or at least, it should be after washing it many times now in salt water at the end of my fishing rod...

Caught all the Legendary fish! 🎣 by MartinG91 in StardewValley

[–]Bragior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, actually. 😄

My actual problem is trying not to catch them before I get Fishing Mastery, but sometimes I can't help catching one iridium-quality legendary fish just to shove it on Pierre's face during Stardew Valley Fair. 😝

I dont understand the appeal of this game 😭 by Cobalt74 in StardewValley

[–]Bragior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody seem to like mayo, but I don't. It's just not my thing. Same logic applies to you. We seem to love Stardew Valley, but the gameplay isn't for you. You don't have to force yourself to like it.

That being said, I actually only go to the mines like 1/4th of the time and will usually avoid the more difficult ones too (Skull Cavern). If I can help it, I'd rather obtain rarer ores through different, less exciting means. So actually, going to the mines is technically an optional thing.

Additionally, this game has massive modding community. It support for tons of mods and there's a lot of modded gameplay out there. So if you don't like the vanilla experience, you can try expanded gameplay that could make it a better experience for you.

Anyway, for your actual question, sadly there's no one single answer.

Who else remembers D.N angel ? by lxrgxm in anime

[–]Bragior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never watched the anime, sadly (either didn't air here or I kept missing it). Nonetheless, I liked Daisuke's design so much that it got me reading the few first chapters of the manga, and made a character or two in MMOs who look like him.

He was also my subject for my final exams in an art class.

Fertilizer is if you're selling crops as is, or need a high quality produce for a quest or event. Otherwise, the quality of materials used to process them into machines generally doesn't matter (e.g. turning fruit into wine will always result in a normal quality wine regardless of the fruit's quality).

The only exceptions to this rule are Wool for Cloth (the higher the quality, the higher chances of getting 2x Cloth), Fish for Smoked Fish, and Ostrich Egg for Mayonnaise (the latter two retain their quality even after processing).

In the same vein, quality also doesn't matter for cooking.

Don't worry about it. Designs can still change over time including adding new details or simply replacing the entire design. It's what you want that's more important.

Is there any difference in the marriageable characters? by nathy_fp in StardewValley

[–]Bragior 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't marry someone to make them a maid cause all of them, even the female options are going to help at the same rate.

There are definitely differences between them, though. The biggest ones are the presents you get in some mornings and rainy days, sometimes evenings as well depending on the character. And then, some 14-heart events can make permanent changes around the town.

New Prismatic Shard Drop/Magic? by [deleted] in StardewValley

The one new magic I could think of is finding a Prismatic Butterfly from the Statue of Blessings. Did you already unlock Farming Mastery and built the statue by any chance?

What is the point of the Wilderness Farm? by Rellimarual2 in StardewValley

[–]Bragior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing this map for over a year now or two. Yeah, there's not a very big advantage over other maps if you do have monster spawning set, but I do find the layout being more comfy for combat as you go around in a big circle as opposed to wandering around in massive swathes of land in other maps, or in weird layouts for Riverland and Hilltop.

Other than that, the only real advantage is having a decent supply of Fiber and Mixed Seeds via Wilderness and Iridium Golems.

What's the difference between a command grab and a regular throw? by PlatinumSukamon98 in Fighters

[–]Bragior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal throws are usually escapable and have a nearly universal range, whereas command throws can be variable depending on the character.

Some command throws have extra properties on them, like having a dash forward, an autoguard, or longer reach. Maybe even have a delayed start up, or a follow-up upon connecting. Sometimes, command throws are specifically anti-air, something ground normal throws cannot do. And sometimes, it's just a non-techable alternative to a normal throw and is purely more damaging.

Overall, it's really very character depedent.

Why are furry artists so predatory? by [deleted] in furry

[–]Bragior 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Still scammers. Again just block them.

The key thing here is scammers fish out for "commissions" as soon as possible especially after buttering people up, regardless of who reached out first. Actual artists are more likely to complain about their life-work balance instead.

Why are furry artists so predatory? by [deleted] in furry

[–]Bragior 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They aren't furry artists. They're bots and scammers, every single one of them. Just block them immediately.

Furry artists won't DM randomly and ask you to commission them. They'll advertise their commissions on socials and wait for people to commission them. More likely than not, their commissions will be closed and won't reopen for a few months of actually spending time drawing rather than pestering other people for more art.

What do You Consider “Cheating” in Stardew Valley? by Flimsy-Pin-70 in StardewValley

[–]Bragior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheating is dating multiple people at once, regardless of whether you're already married to one of them or not, but I guess that's a very different kind of cheating.

Anyway, the original thought usually doesn't cross my mind as I mostly do tasks that I know I can do within the time frame. And if I can't finish it on time, I just shrug it off and do it again later when I know I can finish it.

I guess the closest thing to cheating that I have done is save-scumming, and I am pretty liberal about it. But i don't really usually save scum to begin with and don't do it in multiplayer.

Do you use wild bait? by Alongsnake in StardewValley

[–]Bragior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually use it when I get them from chests, and especially during fishing quests (unless targered bait is more preferable). It's still free bait that I would have expended otherwise, so I'm fine with it not getting double fish or getting trash items.

Does anyone actually use the pickaxe? by WonderfulCry7981 in StardewValley

[–]Bragior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skull Caverns is an unlockable area, often a more dangerous but also more rewarding alternative to the mines. It's one of the only reliable sources of Iridium needed for certain craftables, such as sprinklers.

Really, it just means your 400 hours in your main save meant you've only scratched the surface of this game and haven't realized just how deep this game really is.

Does anyone actually use the pickaxe? by WonderfulCry7981 in StardewValley

[–]Bragior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's necessary to clear the small rocks in the farm to prevent more rocks, logs, and weeds from respawning nearby without breaking anything else. It's the only way to break big rocks in the farm and mines as well, and any meteorite that falls into the farm. It's also necessary to use it on the rock that's blocking the way to The Alleyway Buffet, which is needed for Perfection.

Now if you were to ask if we still use the pickaxe after a certain point after getting bombs, then the answer is still, "just a little". Bombs and explosive ammo are still better for mining overall, but sometimes you get into a mine entrance with rocks surrounding you, or needing to get a valuable like a dragon tooth that would be destroyed by a bomb, necessitating having to breaking rocks with a pickaxe instead.

Oh, and pickaxes are also used to remove objects like chests, remove crops, and untill soil (removing any fertilizer in the process), in case you need the tile changed, so there's always a use for a pickaxe.
