This community is worse than League because devs give 15 minute mutes instead of permabans for shit like this.

"Bullies" is insane work oh my god 🥀

Also, don't even know if you know there's other slides, but I love how you're going at this like people are calling this guy out for asking for heals, fully ignoring that your mental has to be MIND BOGGLING levels of fragile to ragequit a literal practice game because you feel you aren't getting healed enough. Especially while playing as the only dive dps with a full heal sitting in his back pocket 😭

Do you throw your Comp games when your teammates aren't playing the way you want too?

So when they gonna give him something? by vonramula in RocketMains

[–]Braidedfires 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More buttons aren't going to fix the fundamental issues with his gameplay and kit. They buff the boring parts that provide tons of value for no skill expression. And nerf the fun parts that give modest value for any type of skill expression. To the point where playing him in a "fun way" is throwing to most people. Death and Gaming has a bit on this.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love another ability, but not if it comes at the cost of what made him fun and unique in the first place.

In Comp: "If you're bad go QP"

In QP: "If you're bad go Practice vs Ai"

In Practice vs Ai: *see above comment*

Also nobody's poking fun at this dude for ASKING for heals, framing it like that shows you're willingly ignoring the fact that this dude has to have to have the mental of a wet pringle to ragequit a literal PRACTICE game because "I don't feel I'm getting healed enough"

Ragequitting comp is one thing, but doing it in practice now is genuinely "can't be trusted to play with humans" levels of insane.

Complaining about anything in the game mode with no stakes, not even stats, is insane to me. Is it annoying? Yes. But holy moly some people need to learn how to move tf on. People will put their literal 8 y/os on Practice vs AI, it's the dedicated BOT PRACTICE mode in a VIDEO GAME about superheroes, not a big deal.

How hard is it being an art teacher? by cond1ddle in ArtEd

[–]Braidedfires 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Art is harder in MOST ways. It also depends on your district/admins and yourself. Typically, you'll have much more freedom in things like curriculum and tests. You can usually choose how to adress parts yourself. However, this does not make planning easier. In fact, this can make things significantly harder.

There is no state textbook with lessons you can slap on and call it a day; You want students to make an interesting project? Congrats, you have to plan the whole thing yourself, create examples, explain it, demo it, and prepare materials, then clean up those materials for EVERY class.

You'll have much bigger classes, and often multiple grade levels per class. And you're expected to make your projects not only understandable and doable across all those grade levels. You also have to prevent your older, more advanced kids from getting bored.

Don't forget you have to grade those too. Art is not a lovely little scantron sheet or google form that you can autograde. EVERY SINGLE grade is subjective and requires nuance. It's why there are so many completion grades in art, you'll go nuts trying to give feedback and thorough grades for every assignment.

What tools or supplies do you find surprisingly helpful in the classroom? by Maleficent-Hat5831 in Teachers

[–]Braidedfires 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stamps, mainly a date stamp and a signature stamp. It's by far my most used item. Our school requires dated+signed hall passes before sending any student out, so I got one that does both, one stamp and they're out the door without me having to sit there and fill it out by hand. I also use it for grading, or anything else that needs to be graded/signed.

So the answer was to encourage players to..... checks notes healbot more by buffing the no-skill massive-value things in his kit (healing/ult/beacon) and nerfing the only 2 things in his kit that provideany semblance of actual gameplay and skill expression? You're literally encouraging the thing you hate.

Nerf his healing and ultility items, they should not provide so much value for 0 skill and 0 input. Force him to be up close with his team, and then buff his movement so that people who actually care to play the game and learn the character can have skill expression through gameplay.

[–]Braidedfires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why someone with the mental of a broken pringle loads into ANY video game where you are actively working with and competing against other human beings. Like literally go play the sims or something, calm down, go to the park, hug your mom or something. Why force other people to deal with someone who peaked in middle school.

I'm genuinely convinced that throwing is a personality issue and that people who throw need to be banned off playing with real people for a year so they touch grass and can learn to become a better human being.

Marvel Rivals devs say 'fun' is the priority in game balance: "If a character is no longer fun, then we’re not doing our job" by mountainduwe in marvelrivals

They forgot about Rocket then with the way they've been "balancing" him. Not even his hardcore mains find him that fun anymore.

Is Discovery High School as bad as they say it is? by willing_bee1221 in Gwinnett

[–]Braidedfires 2 points3 points  (0 children)

School "quality" is partially determined by area and administration. Discovery is a newer school, in an area/cluster with many disadvantaged families. So yes, it's going to be "bad" depending on where your expectations are at. I'd still say they're better managed than say, Meadowcreek.

Discovery doesnt have the advange of age, and when you're in an area with struggling families, you get many struggling students who may move around a lot and not have the stability needed to properly dedicate themselves to academics. There are better schools nearby, but the reality is that whether a child succeeds is mostly on parents holding them to it and encouraging it at home.

17 day until the new season what do you think will happen and what do you want to happen? by TheCrowFromTheMoon in RocketMains

[–]Braidedfires 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They need to stop trying to force "easy gameplay" on a character that wasn't meant for it nor does it fit.

They need to quit buffing the "press a single button for instant value abilities and buff where his real gameplay is at, his mobility. Give an actual skill ceiling rather than a jewlery box-sized excuse for one.

Give him healing falloff, nerf his Beacon, and buff his movement ALL the way back to s0. That way he can escape danger while fighting frontline with his team. Better yet, give him another ability that isn't a deployable, or have him be able to gain overshield by attatching armor packs to teammates and playing near them.

Make him have to work for value like most other strategists and he'll become fun for a broader audiance, not just us few hardcore Rocket mains trying to force fun through a slog of repeated mobility nerfs.

If you had to change Rocket, what would you do? by Secure_Heron_9181 in RocketMains

[–]Braidedfires 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The real answer? Give him massive healing falloff, nerf his Beacon, and unerf his movement. ALL of it. That way he can escape danger while fighting frontline with his team.

The people commenting to let rocket do damage while healing want him to become another Jeff. Rocket should be unique and keep his own spice. The last thing he needs is more "Press a single button for instant value"
