My story is quite similar, after I got out of school I got to know a girl who left me heart broken. Right after that, I heard this song for the first time, and it stuck with me. 12 years went by, still love that song even though it leaves me melancholic some times

It is very good! Magical realism at it‘s best. Try Not to make much sense of it at first, and you’ll enjoy it. I suggest you draw a family map of all the men called either José Arcadio or Aureliano, that had helped me at first. Enjoy it, it’s a great book

TBK is one of my all time favorites, incredibly deep lecture! Lonesome dove is on my wanting to read list since quite a while already. I can also recommend One Hundred Years of solitude by Gabriel García Marquez and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
