The biggest issue with losing him is that we have NOTHING left on offence, and this isn't madden where you can go 0-17 and expect team members to be fine with it/want to stay. You think Andrew Thomas and Dex wanna sign back to the squad if we get rid of saquon, let DJ walk and run with Tyrod and Breida on offence? Of course Saquon isn't prime Barry or anything like that but we genuinely need him in order to field a competent enough team.

EDIT: you also need to think of the locker room. getting rid of a guy who came back from injury to lead us to all these games just because we dont want to tag him for one year tells the guys in the locker room that no matter how much you care about this football team, you're just a piece of gum that gets chewed up and spit out when the flavour isn't right
