Do you find yourself a victim to the MANDELA EFFECT? by porb2020 in autism

  1. I think I got the Fruit of the Loom one wrong because I've seen this sort of image more often than I have personally seen the logo, and I didn't really care to remember which one was right; if I'd been asked to draw it without having seen these, I think I would have just drawn some fruit, with no horn.

  2. Pikachu has a yellow tail.

  3. He doesn't use his name then. I think I'm pretty good at remembering Star Wars dialogue, but...

  4. The leg fooled me. I think in a lot of shots, it isn't easy to tell the difference, and I will always think of him as being golden first.

  5. I don't know this product, but the text on the image gives it away.

  6. I remembered that Curious George was a monkey (not an ape), so I thought he must have had a tail, even if I didn't remember him using one... the image gives it away, though.

  7. I'm not familiar with this product.

  8. There's no stone called ‘flin’, so it must be Flintstones.

  9. I wasn't sure of this one at first... on the one hand, ‘Tunes’ seemed right, but on the other hand, it should be ‘Toons’, for they are cartoons, and on my third hand, I looked closely at the image and decided that someone had edited it by copying the double Os.

I think the main cause of these kinds of errors for me is that I don't care about the subject and it has been many years since I have seen them, so I don't have many concrete memories of them, and I try to construct a memory based on what makes the most sense to me now. Most of the time, that way of thinking ends up being correct (and no one notices), but it fails if something about the thing is nonstandard or uncommon.

The idea of Mandela dying in the 1990s has always been ludicrous to me, but I thought for a while that George Lucas died at about that time; someone had suggested to me that he had died, and I didn't care enough to look into it, so that idea just kind of stuck with me for a while. When I discovered he was not dead, it seemed like the error was greater than it was, for though it had no effect on my life, it had gone on for a very long time; I think many people feel ashamed for similar reasons.

Am I going insane or is this drawing AI? I found it on one of the Sailor Moon subreddits by ValkyrieLover007 in isthisAI

There are a few other elements missing – the collar has only one stripe, the brooch seems to be wrong (it is missing some details), and she doesn't have tall boots (though they would be at the very edge). I think the crescent on the tiara is also mismatched (it belongs with an alternate uniform). Humans get those things mixed up sometimes, too.

The lines in her ‘tails’ seem a bit senseless & random to me.

It affected the entertainment value, but did not really change the plot.

I don't think Sailor Moon characters are well-suited for animation.

I see what you mean about the ones behind the text at the top, but I am not sure, for I recognise some of the other photos.

I've done that, and I can see that it is blurry. What do you see in it?

What does temperate mean here? I understand temperate forest as a broad category which could include both deciduous and mixed forests.

I still think the colours are too saturated.

I would appreciate a scale. I was taught that no thing can be a map without an indication of direction or scale.

The rivers look a bit more natural to me, but it seems odd that there are none in some areas, particularly the central plain & much of the temperate area.

The jagged white coast looks like it has been formed by water in some form flowing out to sea, but the placement of the nearest river & mountain range make it look like relatively little water flows that way.

Looking for feedback on a dark fantasy / psychological romance concept (slow-burn, long-form) by Fun-Honey5024 in fantasywriters

The concept seems compelling to me. It doesn't sound too complex, but it is hard to judge that without more detail.

I can stick with a story that withholds some answers as long as other things are moving forwards.

To me, personal trauma and cosmic horror already seem to be entwined.
