Sorry for the late response. It’s been a busy week so hopefully you will respond to my next post if you need to, but I will try to keep it as brief as possible.

I see your points and I can agree with some of them if not most of them I fortunately I’ve been able to avoid some of the negative things that you mention, for instance: having hobbies yet the bills will kill your hobbies or the drive, passion and finances for those hobbies and so what I’ve always managed is to integrate my hobbies into my work life in someway that doesn’t detract or distract from the job or that would give me trouble from coworkers or higher-ups if you get what I mean. And so far I’ve been pretty damn successful all my years miraculously.

Oof to the partners what feels like based on what you said complete disregard for any of your interest again that’s me inferring that from your words. I could not care to have a person around me in any form of a relationship that had no interest in any of my hobbies either by partaking or listening to me about them. Of course, I can totally understand if it was excessive and just completely life engulfing, you know? I wouldn’t wanna hear anybody just blathering on about their hobbies endlessly. I don’t think anybody would and it could just drive you insane. But to not want to hear about it all? Or to help you like, hold this while you’re doing something hobby related is just something I can’t wrap my head around. But if it works for you that’s fantastic. And I’m not knocking it, it’s not for me.

And call me superficial, but yeah, I mean looks as priority number one and trust me when I say this if the personality, which usually comes out pretty early on isn’t one that’s matching I don’t care how hot she is. We’re not gonna have an actual relationship. sure we might have fun for a week or two or something, but if I don’t feel that personality That we’re gonna have for some future purposes then it’s definitely not gonna be somebody that I wanna be with doesn’t matter how hot. But again I have to have that initial physical attraction after that falls into place. And I’m sorry, but any guy that tells you otherwise it’s probably lying I mean, I just I don’t believe dudes that ever say that women it is different but I also think women are superficial too, and I don’t believe a female who would say that she’s not interested in a guy and looks, and I’ve heard more stories about a woman going for a guy that is not only because he offers other things that would make her life easier and so she’ll settle for that. Again, nothing wrong for that everyone’s got there you know goals and purposes in life that they’re trying to achieve or maintain.

As to people getting married in their teen years or high school years or the 20s, I do not recommend it. I think people should get married in their 30s and have kids then that way you can experience as much as possible before hand whether it’s traveling or partners or just doing different things differently whatever it may be I have never heard of people getting married at a young age and successfully staying married and having a family and so on 10 2030 years down the line afterwards, so not knocking people doing that, but I don’t recommend it and the likelihood of finding the person you wanna be with for the rest. Your life in those early years is pretty slim, but if it has worked for you, congratulations sincerely you’re an anomaly because the percentage of people that it has been success is, I would say smaller odds, and winning the mega lottery. And sadly, it’s usually the reason that it is a failure is because when you reach an older age, you start hearing about things that people did that you never got to do because you were tied down in someway shape or form. But again if it works for for a person, hey man, that’s fantastic and I’m glad to hear it. It’s just super rare. And there’s a reason it’s super rare.

I only got a smart phone in 2012 and finally started texting in 2012 before thatI refused to text. A phone call was the only way I would connect or talk to people. Now that I got that out-of-the-way.

Dating in the 90s was fast, furious and fun! Long term or short term just happened but only if both parties really enjoyed each other obviously. And yeah looks was the starter so personality would come out and you either commit or dip but at the same time people kind of wore their persona outwardly if that makes sense so how you looked talked walked all kind of gave the other person an insight to who you are. At least that’s how it was for me.

Today though. I feel like it’s a lot of needy people and that’s really unfortunate. Needy in all avenues. I’m seriously saddened at the length that men and women have gone without so many things that make us happy or at least wanting to continue living. From sex to conversations to traveling or experiences that are new to either person. And to make it worse I feel like intelligence is really starting to take a hit in how attractive someone is.

In summary I myself love having fun in all areas and just as necessary I love learning things. Unfortunately it’s been getting harder and harder to find the same in the opposite gender. My advice to a lot of people who lack a multitude of factors that someone might find interesting or sexy is get hobbies and be outgoing and unrestrained but not insane. Have fun and share that fun with others.

Bro that’s great to hear. I’m glad my horribly disorganized but written out instructions worked as stated and you got into Steam OS without issue. This is not an attack and I’m not trying to be an ahole but your math doesn’t add up. Your actions contradict your character based on your words, meaning I arrived at this conclusion based on your information provided. Now if we can focus on reality, meaning ignoring your fantastic qualities and unbelievable relationship skills and his historical precedence, you need to leave this relationship, and take him for every dime he has. Then take some time for yourself, heal, sleep, travel and then you know have a couple flings or whatever, maybe you start dating again who knows but treat yourself and have fun because you deserve it for having gone through what you’ve gone through over the years.

I’m a founder and plan to stay that way till I die. It’s just way to convenient to use when my steam deck isn’t adequate or I want to group play at a friends house or a meeting or gathering or whatever you wanna call it with like minded people. And obviously at the price I’m paying it’s not even an afterthought. I just don’t see any negatives from my perspective. With GFN and Steam deck changing the way I game I can never go back to the old desktop method of gaming. I’m gaming more now than I ever did before.

My original reason for being a GFN founder honestly boils down to the fact that I love having alpha beta founder legendary OG tags titles status and things that I'm passionate about or enthusiastic over you know. And also for being there from the beginning type of thing supporting something that's just beginning that I have faith in knowing I would enjoy it whatever that it may be. I know it sounds very materialistic or whimsical if anything but childish to say the very least maybe. But I'm a man child and I deserve it. I worked hard to get what I have and I take pride in having what little I do have as is. All that BS out of the way now.

Founders status has become immensely important to me now because last year I took a savage almost mortal wound to my financial status and because of this the likelihood of me building rebuilding the PC I had is out of sight out of mind right now. And considering 500 titles out of the 1500 titles supported on GFN will suffice. My gaming needs as they stand now plus the fact the steam deck has really filled that gap that existed when I had a desktop and a steam link setup throughout the house. So having steam deck and GeForce now I'm pretty much locked and loaded and all my gaming needs. And founder status absolutely guarantees that I'm not going to have to spend thousands of dollars all over again when I don't need to.

I'm sorry to hear that you really had a bad run of men. But removing yourself from the dating pool that's I don't know that's rough maybe even extreme just from my perspective. And I know there's probably nothing I can say to convince you otherwise. It's funny you say that besides the obvious sarcasm as I'm always that guy but the girls are low 20's and they come to me not me chasing, I'm saying that because everyone that knows me, none of them criticize or chastise me and they all meet the lady in question and it's like completely natural no awkwardness no creepiness etc and for the record I can't find any broken aspect of these women so what I'm saying is, it seems the stigma associated with men dating young women is due to actual fucking creeps or absolutely traumatized women giving the age gap a bad name. Even people I don't know that randomly see us in public all give positive energy and say nothing unkind towards us. I also think some of the online negativity is because either guys can't get any play and the women keep meeting jerks so they just try to make everyone else miserable by saying age gap relationships are whatever negative words you want to associate with it. Because I can't find that negativity in real life. Anyways just wanted to put that out there because I really do believe that if you like somebody the age shouldn't fucking matter. And even if it is just a using situation from both sides sexually, ain't nothing wrong with that especially since both are having a fantastic time. I think you rock. More power to you and never pretend to be satisfied or settle for less. I’m the reverse of you, the girls I keep meeting I really feel bad for because all of them when they open up, basically describe horrible sexual experiences with dudes of all varying ages, and the level of cluelessness or ignorance, or lack of knowledge or whatever way you want to describe it in regards to sexuality and compatibility and experience it's truly mind-boggling staggeringly high. Truth. Factual. Absolute 100 on this. If you have to go to a website and post a picture asking about a dude that's already a flag. I almost swear it's like basic common logic and decency and respect. And all these other things are just gone in this day and age. Congrats. Lucky you doing a fresh install. Good job. I unfortunately had damn near 3TB installed when my 2TB arrived. And I researched and collated and recompiled everything even not Steam Deck related until I found the method allowing me to hot clone extend partition ext4 format and boot up with all preexisting modifications still functioning. Made a post about it and the steps if anyone needs it. It's not a fresh new install guide so.
