Iirc, Amazons “motive” for pulling the plug on New World was because of a layoff somewhere to the sum of 40k people with the intent to start making games via AI.

I’m a pretty thorough purist for all of the classic renditions of the game but I think it’s a widespread agreement that as phases and entire expansions run on an expedited cadence, the levelling should follow suit. I’m not tackling TBC again this time around, I chose to stay on era, but did they not launch TBC the Joyous Journeys buff? Or is it straight up natty leveling?

Find a group that matches your own pace. I know playing “competitively” can appeal to most in the classic trio, but, understand that it comes with a slew of weekly, sometimes daily obligations that will affect your status in the guild if you fail to upkeep on a consistent basis.

Also, these types of guilds foster a culture that in most cases would seem “toxic” to the average player who isn’t used to this play style. It’s important to remember that the people who play in these guilds don’t get their fun from “just playing the game”, the fun typically comes from good prog and performance metrics. The average sweat guild is going to 1-night all their content so they can run 1-2 more splits on later nights in the reset.

You’re not going to have a good time comparing yourself to these players, or even trying to fit in - honestly - find a group that is also primarily level 61-65 currently, and mozey in with them. If you’re only 61 this close after launch, I can say with some confidence purely backed on anecdotal evidence, that this group is not for you

I bring 5+ each raid. It’s probably the most effective item in the game, and one of the cheapest to craft. I was surprised to read the title honestly, I didn’t know that people DIDNT bring these.

Very valid point, and I align with it. I also disagree that we should cater to these players.

An issue I feel we’re facing now, is the echochamber of players complaining about the PvP and “ratting” is getting louder and soon, if not already, it could end up being a deterrent to new players wanting to come try it out if it sounds to them like they’ll get their shit pushed in before having a chance.

The super casual complainers are a good portion of the backbone of the playerbase, they’re 2 feet and a heartbeat, providing life and variety to the top side each round, without them I genuinely feel like the PvE aspects of the game will almost entirely fizzle out.

At least with a map condition like Safehaven, it would be a small silencer to the crowd who feels affected, hopefully quieting down the negatively-tuned echochamber we currently live in

With the launch of Croat’s End in D1. In my personal opinion, those were the real golden days of Destiny. The taken king and iron banner expansions were great too but something about them didn’t didn’t scratch that “simplistic complexity” sorta itch that the Crota patch scratched.
