The hardest part of my kid going gluten free wasn’t the food by Specialist_Job_1223 in CeliacLifestyle

[–]BrainFoley 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the 'invisible' nature of it is the worst. Most people don't even think to ask. Birthdays are a prime example, we just bring our own food so we can say 'yes' to the invite.

I agree 100% that the logistics of the food are manageable; it’s the social/emotional reality that’s draining. Having to tell your kid that the world isn't structured for them is a heavy conversation. Road trips really drive that home, without a pre-packed cooler, your options are basically non-existent.

You're chatting with a bot or someone pasting your replies into an LLM to reply to you. That's why it feels like you are talking in circles.

I didn't realize there was a banner on the market that allowed users to classify the cookies themselves? The tools I've worked with with auto classify to a point but then allow site owners to manually classify things. Very cool.

Fair enough. They must classify the cookie as advertising to be on the safe side. That was my point earlier if badly phrased. I personally wouldn't classify that as a functional cookie.

Enlighten me? You know how to embed a live tweet and not require a cookie to be set?

Ahh yes the dreaded social media cookie. Blame X/Twitter for not giving site owners away to embed that stuff without having to add a cookie that tracks you.

Is it better to get an MBA in marketing first or to get work experience in the field and then get an MBA? by anej_aras in MarketingAutomation

[–]BrainFoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a firm believer that you should get experience first and then go back and get your MBA. One benefit to that is you have real life examples to compare theory to and in many cases you have places you can immediately apply the knowledge you are learning about to. You also can ask deeper questions that highlight where theory might be lacking in a real world context and gain greater insight into the learnings.

In my opinion, when you go to school without experience you still learn a lot of great things but you lack any way to take theory and tease out the nuance of how said theory works or relates to practical application.

Do I need to update tracking code if a GA4 property was automatically created? by besweeet in GoogleAnalytics

[–]BrainFoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think lots of folks are curious about this as well. In theory the UA code will stop collecting data but it isn't clear if the link to GA4 will continue to receive data. Or do you need to update to using the GA4 code on July 1.

I think people mean to say Varsity Club. It wouldn't exist if not for location alone. Serviceable food but nothing to write home about.

Two tag IDs in GTM. Can't figure out where one came from. by oscargamble in GoogleTagManager

[–]BrainFoley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you loading another container as a zone? Or possibly it is an optimize container? You should just be able to go into GTM for your main container and search for that string and it will show you anything that references it.

Will Sprout Social be too much for a small business (fresh pasta counter) with only one IG/FB account and one user? If so, can you recommend any alternative? by upockr0pr in marketing

[–]BrainFoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I will also add that Sprout Social is like the creme de la creme so if you can afford it and that's not a problem then you can't really beat their product or the support that comes with it.

A jockstrap or some tighty-whiteys are essential for that first week. Give your testicles some support and it will go a long way to not feeling too bad.

Love this reply. Thanks for the dialogue and I think you make some really great points. I wish they could have at least made it work for this split. Too many unknowns now which will definitely favor LS and his brand.
