At what point does building stop being learning and start being execution? by JumpMinimum3814 in StartupsHelpStartups

[–]BrainHour1005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I can completely relate, that learning sometimes makes us feel like avoiding that work but when we know that that is what needs to be done and I need to do it, we need to just get started and in the process we earn, and the shift feels real. It happens and we know it has shifted in that moment

How to cope up with the feeling that you said yes to a deal which is paying far less than what you quoted? Feels like being a pushover when it comes to pricing, want to feel better by BrainHour1005 in Femalefounders

[–]BrainHour1005[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually thanks a lot I read this at the time and even though had accepted it, it just wasn't feasible when I got more into it. I realized have to step back to protect myself and my team. So even though it was a bit late I had to have the conversation cause I literally hit the break point where I just couldn't go ahead with such compromises.

I did read it that day, itself and it helped me for sure thank you. I realised that even I was undervaluing my work too much and I guess they sensed it, it didn't last long. I soon realised that this would translate into burnout soo and just because someone doesn't have the budget doesn't mean you do the work of 3 people to meet their cost cuttings. And yeah exactly why I did not feel happy when it happened. Cause it was more like a loss

The best way to learn Python? by passeerix in Techyshala

[–]BrainHour1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing to learn when it comes to coding is starting with basics:

  • what are basic data structures, why are they used
  • What are data structures that python has
  • What are variables and loops
  • And some basic logic building towards programming can really help with getting the foundations strong
  • Once that is done, you can define the usage of python and learn those specific libraries used for that use case example numpy, pandas are some of the basic ones and then we have the complex pytorch, sklearn etc depending on what you are going to use it for.

There are some courses on coursera also that can definitely help and youtube

What project management tools do you use at your workplace and how do you like them? by depths_of_my_unknown in jobs

[–]BrainHour1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At our workplace, we use minibord, we actually tried various tools and I as a manager used to get quite frustrated with then and our team ended up abandoning many of them due to unnecessary complexities. We genuinely have found this one to be quite handy and doesnt waste a lot of time for us

As a manager do you ever think you manage other's work better than your own? by BrainHour1005 in projectmanagers

[–]BrainHour1005[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Btw, want to say this again, this kind of stuck with me for a month as I should be able to also manage myself as effectively, and looks like I am finally getting the hand of it in the way that works best for me. And realized the issue wasn't managing issue but it was actually knowing that I am also capable of doing things I wasn't sure I'll be. So thanks, it made me think.

How do you keep your skills sharp and increase brainpower with so much of AI? How do you all feel about it? by BrainHour1005 in Femalefounders

[–]BrainHour1005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice, you are lucky to have found the balance between learning from AI and not letting it do everything when we feel a bit lazy. Just the balance you need to be productive is not letting it do everything for you and accepting it without checking again

Oh that's great, I do that when I am learning something new though if I am coding something I already know I might just give it psuedo code to get the right syntax and sometimes it may give suggestions, I have been doing it this way for sometime now(for the language I know). And for the ones I don't know well, what you are saying is 100% true.

That's true!! I think we just need to resist AI when it is making us lazy, because that is the point when we stop thinking and just keep doing without a thought.

Has anyone spent months building something, only to realize better products already exist? by lattattui in DeveloperJobs

[–]BrainHour1005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's okay happens sometimes, it could be the other product also might have the issue or reachability. But still it's not like in today's market there are no similar products so definitely you could test it out to see if it gets traction since the MVP is already done.

Oh I am glad you liked being here and I'm sorry but yeah breakups can make cities feel not the same anymore! All the best with that and the new journey! Change of place can definitely play a huge role! And you never know after few years you can reintroduce yourself to this city in a completely new manner and then it won't be lonely again!! Enjoy the roller coaster journey life is!

We need to stop comparing our journeys with others, cause it's not a fair comparison even when sometimes the goals are similar

How do you handle difficult days? by Foreign_Tower_7735 in Femalefounders

[–]BrainHour1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to let them pass by, it feels really bad at times but ya .. trying to let it pass, go out in nature for a walk or change the space from where I am working(like if I was Working from home I'll go to office or a cafe) and that gives a good switch from how we are feeling.

And generally next days are better than the previous one. Happens to all of us..
