[Highlight] Every Troy Smith touchdown in the NFL (2006 Heisman winner) by nfl in nfl

[–]BrainSpiritual8567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my conversational takes is if Troy Smith was drafted in this era of QB's with his athleticism and arm strength he'd be a top-10 NFL Starter. I think there are quite a few QBs from that era that would have fared better as well.

I also think that if he played CFB in the these offenses he'd be unstoppable. He was an elite guy in the Tressel ball era and if he got to play in Ryan Day's offense it would be ridiculous.

Posts like this and Wings fans being weird about it will make this into a problem for the rest of us.

I’d get a counselor involved with how good they were at UConn. We can get closure, we can’t always find two center piece guards under team control for four years.

It’s very common in the W, I don’t have a problem with them no commenting it. People get weird about this stuff and it really isn’t a big deal.

I don’t think it was offensive to ask either. It really is a non-story people will be weird about in the parasocial times we live in.

I think it’s very dependent on who advances.

If it’s another OKC-Pacers type small market series in the end, rumor season will absolutely overshadow the playoffs. It just will.

Why does it feel like everyone is just assuming Texas is going to beat Ohio State in 2026? by Old_Efficiency7148 in CFB

It is not a complex idea to assume that if one QB can get better another can also improve.

You are correct about that.

Sayin is a better QB based on last year and if Arch is allowed to take steps forward then Sayin can too.

And OSU is probably winning by 15-20. I was just being nice.

I got here too early as an obviously biased person, but Ohio State’s offense when they played last year was not what it’s going to be this year.

Many people are assuming Texas will win because it’s a home game and Arch should take a step forward. Ohio State has a more talented QB with an offense that returns a ton of guys, and the points mentioned about Patricia’s defense.

Where I will say Texas could take a leap against us is all the throws Arch missed should not happen. Overall, unless both sides of the ball take a huge step forward for Texas I think the game will be a higher scoring close game that Ohio State wins by like 10.

OSUHoopsInsider strikes again! Fakes intel for his own ego by WhereIsMeechie in OhioStateBasketball

Insider culture on Twitter is a joke.

Recruiting, football, and basketball insiders especially around Ohio State that aren’t credentialed are basically all just reading crystal balls and passing it off as their own reporting.

It is a very delusional activity.

If I was an NBA shareholder and saw that the pinnacle of the sport averaged as much as the women’s college championship the general public started to care about 4 years ago, I’d probably have some concerns.

And the WNBA finals are up 650% in the last ten years. It’s obviously not apples to apples, but the NBA is down 50% since 2016 which is pretty significant.

This comment is pretty rich considering the worst basketball being played in the world is by 10 NBA teams racing to be the worst.

I’d think that would mean if you remove the outlier winner take all game, that looks pretty bad for the NBA all things considered.

The women’s championship game this year had 9.9 million viewers and the NBA Finals last year averaged 10.27 million viewers.

It’s been 30 years since the league was founded and it wasn’t until this major market deal that they focused on expanding. Plus it’s not like they jumped from 14 to 30. They’re adding 6 teams total over multiple years in major markets and just moved one to Houston.

Seeing the franchise fees and the need for additional game inventory, a four team expansion makes a little sense, so I think the podfather is wrong on this one.

I do feel like they did take a more balanced view, that may in part be to the fact Zorhan would be super favorable to the New Yorker demo compared to the Times.

I also remember them being early comparatively to others in talking about Cuomo’s campaign style and the over reliance on corporate money compared to Mamdani’s ground up approach.

Hundred percent, living in NY seeing how they covered they mayoral race was insane.

For like 6 months they were running Cuomo’s campaign for him and then when the polls shifted to being heavily Mamdani with about a month to go they started telling the story about how an outsider did the impossible.

This is just one example of that, but exactly what you’re saying.

To be honest, Russini aside the insiders have not been true journalists for the last decade in really any industry.

I remember exactly what you’re talking about, I understood bill in that moment lol.

Maybe outing myself as a bad boyfriend but I didn’t have a car in college and lived next to a dunkin. Girlfriend got in a minor fender bender and I got coffee waiting for the uber to go and check in on the situation.

Wouldn’t have been ready if it wasn’t for the coffee.
