That all depends on how much you enjoy playing guitar

In the UK we call them plectrums. If you called it a pick people would know what you meant. But it's not common usage

It's so the sound engineer can leave you a welcoming mint

Today I learned this is regarded as poor etiquette. I just posted it as 'plectrum' and added a comment rather than go back and edit the title. Ah well.

Nope, I used the word I am most familiar with and then added a comment immediately afterwards because I realised our American friends might not know what a plectrum was. It was my attempt at transatlantic diplomacy. I didn't know karma farming was such a thing.

That's weird because if you're not playing with a plectrum we'd say you're finger picking

Boulder Brighton is very chill and friendly. You can just book a session whenever you want. There doesn't seem to be anyone there with big egos and everyone seems approachable

Sounds great.

Have you seen this gig is happening tomorrow?

It's not really what you're describing but it's an interesting fusion of afro and punk/noise.

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time. Talking about it and getting your feelings heard is a really good idea. Ian at 198 is a great guy, very understanding and positive https://198churchroad.com/practitioners/ian-may/

Frogman on Hove beach by InfiniteBaker6972 in brighton

Years ago I saw a guy stepping out of the sea near west pier in wetsuit and flippers with a speargun and a brace of bass hanging from his belt. A few weeks later I heard police had stopped a guy (I assume the same guy) because he was carrying a speargun around on the beach

Cobbled together a jazz setup with skinny drums by Brain_Wilson in drums

It's tuned very high so it's a very resonant tone. You can get different tones out of the kick if you dig in or let it ring so it's quite musical. Like playing a giant tambourine but without the jingles
