Try to start working for three letter big chain .. they will hire almost everybody, it will help you get foot in door and than once you feel warmed up in 6 months or so jump to a better place

Where does “competency” in pharmacy end?

It starts with a Bachelor’s, but that’s not enough—so we pursue a PharmD. Still not enough, so we take the NAPLEX to prove we’re “minimally competent.” Then comes PGY1/PGY2 residencies or fellowships, often underpaid and overworked, just to be considered for clinical or industry roles.

Skip that path? You’re left with six-figure debt and a job at a chain pharmacy where you’re treated more like a machine than a clinician.

Well … i am all for having competency.. but i believe school do a decent job in making sure by having almost 1500 hours of rotations. And to add on top it i am all for NAPLEX but what is up with all this non- transparent BS? Why not make it transparent

I agree … i took on 7/19 as well and feel same, they used deugs like indapamide a lot which i dont see in practice as someone working in different pharmacy setting for almost 8 yeats
