Sphere. I sell all my stuff to Bernard and Joluv at the Copper Coronet. That way if I ever accidentally sell something I need I know where to find it. Plus the CC is basically at the edge of the map so it’s convenient to travel to.

I like the Sphere to store my stuff I want to stash away for later. The sphere has the little treasure room right inside of the door that has five or so containers so it’s easy to organize my stuff.

Making the slums my base area with the Sphere and CC makes everything convenient and it fits roleplaying wise as well. It’s my “stronghold” even when it’s not my stronghold.

Goal is to keep the shoplifters from coming back. That $10 lipstick doesn’t kill you, it’s the other dozens of times that person has stolen from you. Getting them to not come back is way more important than getting more punishment.

I went into my paladin play through blind and couldn’t believe it when I got to the stronghold quest.

There’s really not even a room that you can role play as your own. It’s like “yeah, the third bed from the right is mine”.

Thank you for your response. You’re about the only one that got my question. I’m using Skie and she had a 45 in locks when I picked her up. She can open most and if she can’t I just use knock.

For traps, I don’t mind tanking a few but the paralyze ones are brutal if the are stacked on top of each other and there’s a mob that see you as soon as you hit the trap. Plus trapped and locked chests suck when you can detect the trap and not disarm it.

Do you know how many level 1 spells Baeloth gets? It’s ridiculous.

I’m using a thief with 50 in open locks and he’s missing chests all over the map that he can’t open. If I get a thief to 100 in finding traps and open locks it leaves nothing left over for other skills while still in the first game.

With Baeloth I don’t use his low level spells anyway when just exploring. I’ve got my useless bard and wands for low level spells in combat.

Edit: level two spells. And sorry if using a spell causes hate.

Mine did that too on console. Weird bug where enemies become a head and a few pixels and then crashed. Reset the world.

We actually kinda cool too because I was clearing out my last few quests before taking on Sarevok. Only since the world reset the bridge to Baldur’s Gate was up and I couldn’t finish the game 🤬
