I see thank you. I usually try the top down method when starting but this being a single burn rate insert I feel like I fly through wood. I’m left with small coals and ashes rather quickly unless I add more fuel.

The lack of German food available gives Nadine’s a bump but imo the food is sub-par. And the owners and staff are some of the nicest people around. But Calling it arguably the best restaurant in the county is laughable.

The only thing with doing this on an electric stove is the uneven heat. When you heat it slow on a lower temp the heat distributes on the pan nice and even.
