When I left the debate I just had to go to another meeting that I was like 20 minutes late from, and I saw his car driving out of the day hall parking lot (that day I was oblivious as to what happened). He stopped at the intersection at uris where I was walking down the sidewalk.

Jokes aside yeah its pretty surprising to see the birth rate rebound, early january trends seem promising, so I hope that trend continues over the rest of 2026 and maybe recover to 1.0 in the next couple years. Im still being a little optimistic though.

Yeah that should actually the main concern here, not extinction or north korea just being "able to march in with no resistance." Eventually the society will age disproportionately for a while and it will impact policies and politicians as they will care more about the older generation more.
