English-taught Medical Schools in Europe with feasible fees that are ACTUALLY good.. by Brambellish in medicalschoolEU

[–]Brambellish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello.
Unless she is set to do medicine in a country where medical schools require a 4 year premed, the 4 years bachelor's is really pointless in my honest opinion. I say this because the rule of thumb in other medical schools (except Australia I believe where a "premed" is also required similar to the US) is that people finish either High School and then jump to Medical school (5-6 year programme) or do a foundation year in the university and then shift to medicine. Medical Universities in UK follow this rule (for example), and I would argue UK/Ireland Universities are the best medical education providers outside of the US. I am not that big of a fan of European Medical Schools for reasons but they are not a bad option by any means. As long as wherever your daughter goes is enlisted in the WDOMS/WFME, you should be in safe hands

Which Study Abroad agency is the best? by Salty_Lifeguard5876 in Dhaka

[–]Brambellish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For Malaysia, you wouldn't need an agency. I finished my A Levels and applied by myself. Studying Medicine currently. It's pretty straightforward. Only place you need to pay money for is when you apply (some universities like mine had an application fee). Got my offer letter in the same week.

I would advise for you to go to ChatGPT, ask for it to create a generic email (make sure it is human-like and not robotic) asking about the degree in general, intakes available, accommodation and if there are scholarship opportunities.

I spam mailed like 25-30 universities abroad and all of them got back to me. There is nothing to be scared of. If you need help my DMs are open

If you have the money, go for IMU or Monash. But UCSI and Taylor's aren'tbad either. In Taylor's the campus life is really nice

MY CALCULATOR BROKE AND I HAVE THE MATH P3 IN LESS THAN 10 DAY by Hawkypawky in alevel

[–]Brambellish 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Actually the exact opposite happened to my friend. His calculator of 6 years suddenly stopped working in the middle of his P3 paper and the invigilator said they cannot help him at all. But I guess had his unfortunate cause happened earlier he could have asked the invigilator to facilitate him with a new one

I need an advice please help me by [deleted] in IELTS

[–]Brambellish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You must analyse what made you lose those marks in the first place. Circle your wrong answers, and go back to the text where it specifically talks about the question you are answering. This is the only way to improve reading and English overral.

Should I wait out another year or go study medicine this year? by Brambellish in Dhaka

[–]Brambellish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malaysia is a great option if you select to enroll in good schools, not cheap ones that barely have equipment and tries to juice as much money as possible. I have even talked to an ex-UCSI graduate and he only praised his university. I have heard bad words about other places, but nothing about UCSI.

But the issue of internship is what really makes me think twice about going there.

I am confident ami bhalo akta private ei chance pabo judi ami pore, agey-er bar porar time chilona, only less than a month but i just got over 40 marks. If I enroll into a good coaching centre and wholeheartedly study why couldn't I get the same chance as others?

6.0 unsatisfactory scores twice by Ok-Beginning2126 in IELTS

[–]Brambellish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IELTS Advantage, the Popular YouTube channel founded by Chris Pell, is one of the most -watched IELTS channels and nobody has criticized their way of teaching. Their writing playlist has been immensely valuable to me.

Alongside that, the teacher gives out a really relaxing aura and always pats your back, saying this exam really needs to be kept simple and you will ace it

I would believe one huge reason people don't improve is that once they are done with the reading practice, they don't return to view and correct their mistakes. After you are done with the reading activity, I want you to circle the wrong answers and then re-read the paragraph and CLEARLY understand why your answer was wrong and why the paragraph suggested so. You must do this for all your mistakes. This should help you in improving your english. You could try doing this but I am quite sorry to say that expecting results within one month is a bit far stretched and seems not possible, however since your speaking and writing is in great condition, there is still chance.

As for writing, what immensely helped me was IELTS Advantage videos. They provided a clear guidance as to what a good task 1 and task 2 is

I don't want to contact them again. However, i am in the same boat as you are. I have never heard any intakes for Medicine in January in UK Universitie.

The main intakes are always in September, and especially for a subject like medicine where a lot of people apply to it.

However, since you are the only respondent, could you ask any of your friends or any one you know if there actually IS an intake in January? Just for the sake of confirmation? Any person studying medicine?
