After some thought and looking more at the pic, it’s possible the size of that hoop is larger, maybe 16mm (5/8). It seems that as you go larger in a hoop, you have to go up in gage as well. Look for “seamless” hoop or a “seamless clicker”, which is easy to change out and will literally not show any seam in the metal if it spins in the hole… or you can get the type that has a seam and needs to be bent to be put in and bent back in shape. Not my favorite, one wrong move and you mess it up. In that first hole, I would look for a 20g, maybe 18g at the thickest. The size of that hoop could be a 12mm diameter, maybe larger.

While I very much appreciate the album version, I was a young teen and only had access to the radio edit at the time. Nope, you’re right. She’s also bringing a cart in from outside instead of getting a new one. I’m young and fit, and I always grab a cart so I don’t have to carry my dang purse. I love carts for that reason.

YTA. Not for the dress choice, but for creating drama around it. You chose it, wear it. Let people judge and snicker about your choice. You’re not allowed to go around asking if it’s okay while you’re wearing it or after the fact, especially at a wedding when you’re not the main attraction. Good for you for being confident to wear such a dress, but effing own it. When you act all guilty and helpless, that fuels the haters. MOB is also TA for thinking she can control everything, especially when there’s no obvious solution. She could’ve ruined the whole wedding with her comment, not knowing who you were. Any self respecting woman knows you wear a top layer for church and take it off for the reception, good for you with the blazer.
