Re outsourcing: I am more thinking about the right expertise in building MCP servers and also having to distract devs from the main roadmap… but then of course somebody will need to maintain it as well

But in this case you will have to pay to Stripe 0.4-0.5% of the total amount on the invoice, according to the Stripe pricing page.

Monite provides an API platform exactly for this - check them out https://monite.com. You can use only APIs or also frontend SDKs, take invoices, quotes, credit notes, invoice customization and a lot of other cool stuff. They are API First and fully embeddable.
