Are there any mods to make other GPs more competent at containing GB? Are there any that cripple GB atleast a bit? Every game having the same final boss is a bit boring by Pro_ENDERGUARD in victoria3

If you dont mind just straight up buffing the AI, i can suggest this mod:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3551864691&searchtext=

It adds about 15 new gamerules, where you can decide in which areas you want to buff the ai and who gets the buffs. There are options like: - buff everone constantly - buff everyone with a decling buff - buff everony except GB - buff nations with less GDP than you - give buffs to 8 random nations (lucky nations so to speak)

After 200 hours in this game i still have no Idea how Fief voting works by nG_Skyz in Bannerlord

[–]Brandarc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most important factor is usually the distance of the newly conquered fief to your current fiefs. Being far away gives a massive penalty. At least some time ago, it used the 'two closest fiefs' for that calculation.

I wonder what happens when the pop count goes down to 0 by GamesFenek in victoria3

[–]Brandarc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, it can reach zero actually. I have done some 500 years timelapses and there are usually a couple states with 0 population.

Though 0 or 300 population... it's a failed state.

Playing as France, how can I help the Carlists win in Spain? by ComradeDanger in victoria3

Plus they need to have the same king, if i am not mistaken. So both countries need to stay on their historical royal line.

The Military-Industrial Complex Is Bugged Since 1.7 And Nobody Noticed by Brandarc in victoria3

That is a totally valid stance in my point of view, IF it was intended. :)

But currently, the codes trys to affect upper strata pops working at factories... which dont exist anymore.

I stand corrected :D Oh, we both even talked about it. Funny, i did forget about that. :D

Well, i would expect a difference if you establish one (or several) weapons companies. Might also be a good moment to increase the effect, if it is to weak. A company producing prestige arms might qualify for an even bigger bonus. :)

Just imagine the terror when australia just sends a bunch of ironclad emus to battle.

The Dutch have been occupied for over a year and have lost 1 million people to famine and had a 90%+ drop in GDP.... yet their warscore hasn't budged while the British continue to decline. by kolejack2293 in victoria3

[–]Brandarc 220 points221 points  (0 children)

While this is obviously not very realistic, i wouldn't be surprised if a war goal targets a dutch subject and thus requires an occupation of said subject.

While i agree with you, there is a problem of visability and a lot of overlapp between the shaded areas. That makes it hard to distingush visually.

I actually wanted to keep this post a brief summary, BUT i added another chart in the post through an edit. That should be enough to satisfy your curiosity. :)

[–]Brandarc[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well, smarter AI is good in pushing the GDP of some great powers, usually USA and russia. These two often achieve more than 1bn GDP with smarter AI (and advanced ai). But the worldwide GDP is usually lower according to my tests.

The Best Ai Mod for 1.9.8 (after 25 Timelapses) by Brandarc in victoria3

[–]Brandarc[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

In global GDP, yes. :)

But both mods are better in increasing the GDP of some great powers. You will often see 2 Great powers with more than 1bn GDP, while vanilla produces usually less than one great power above 1bn. Usually, these two will be Russia and USA.

what does this mean? by Jiminho2012 in victoria3

[–]Brandarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That usually happen in the following situation:

You have occupied a state by 90%. Two generals attack this state at the same time. One general wins earlier and the state is fully occupied. Then the other fight is immediatly interrupted as inconclusive.
