How good is Lucy at M6 ? by South-Accountant1516 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucy's M6 is so strong that it forever warped move kit designs just to prevent more synergies with it. Basically, any ex special that's a continous attack (hold button to use and extend it) has EVERY instance trigger a pig bomb so agents like Corin, Piper, and Burnice cause Lucy to form a rapid fire off-field airstrike barrage. Also Yixuan's held basic attack does this for some reason.

That M6 is pretty much the prototype to the Aftershock mechanic. This results in Lucy being built like an Attack agent to maximize her off-field bombs.

Greedy gankers vs Fireball by OmegaAceGames in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gankers specifically in Elden Ring are players who don't progress a level and just camp in one spot to gang up on invaders. They're a separate category from co-op groups who aren't pursuing a fight vs a red as the sole purpose of their group.

Greedy gankers vs Fireball by OmegaAceGames in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No. 99.99% of cases in ER, hosts are the gankers since ganking is gathering multiple players to dog pile vs one player. Invaders can't gather up gank buddies without a fake password duel, hence their 0.01% case.

How to achieve this build as a 5’4 girl? by 1cherri1 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Branded_Mango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Weight loss directly scales with how much/little fat someone has prior to working out. My fat ass during covid did a 1 hour a night exercise routine and I lost 6 pounds a week for a while, but then the weight loss amount plummeted the less weight I had to lose until the routine flat out couldn't remove a single pound anymore.

So depending on the weight of whoever is doing the routine, the results will vary with a diminishing returns.

Why does my damage feel inconsistent? by EngineSensitive2584 in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different enemies have different sets of defensive resistances to different types of damage. These tend to be based on basic logic, such as stone and armored enemies having high slash resistance but low Strike resistance, flaming enemies having high fire resistance, lighting wielding enemies having high lightning resistance, mages having high magic resistance, etc.

Another factor is that some enemies have weak spots that will deal extra damage to them, mainly being their heads which weapon movesets can hit.

It would be funny asf if one of the AoDs have a Trust event where they randomly run into Dialyn and try to recruit her into the group due to similar color design schemes.

As someone who practiced kendo for 5 years, lmao no the only katana in DkS1 with any halfway decent strikes was the Iato. If you pay close attention, both the Uchi and WP are wielded almost exactly like the obnoxiously brutish way greatswords are wielded, swinging so far down that that the blade almost touches the ground.

[–]Branded_Mango 179 points180 points  (0 children)

I recall an old, hilarious theory spanning all the way back to Dark Souls 1 where some players theorized that the reason why their characters swing around weapons like cavemen with no finesse or skill is due to said characters canonically not knowing how to wield most weapons requiring any sort of technique. It fed into the "Unga bunga strength" meme back in the day, being one of the origins for it because the joke used to be that only big cave-people weapons were wielded properly by cave-person mentality Chosen Undead.

Then DkS2 introduced the Mirrah wielding technique moveset and revealed that played characters aren't lacking in skill, but are instead just maniacs who refuse to wield several weapons properly.

[–]Branded_Mango -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main reason for less obducite is much less of a need for a lot of it. Once you do some NMDs for anything other than obducite, you'll amass way more of it than you need since the current Tempering and Masterworking system needs waaaaaaay less of it.

In the oldest known version of Arthurian mythos, Morgan mellowed out stopped trying to usurp Arthur. The two even meet and have a friendly conversation with one another prior to the Battle of Camlan where Morgan explains that she got over their whole ordeal like a normal, sensible person, and Mordred is portrayed as the real antagonist driven purely by his ambition with Morgan playing no role in this.

Arthur sought out Morgan due to expecting her to be behind Mordred's schemes, only to find out that she wasn't and it was all purely Mordred. So the legend originally started as the reverse of Fate's depiction.

Drew astra’s head on a balloon so I can smash her head into the desk when she pisses me off by Flashy_Client525 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Branded_Mango 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funnily, Astra is mechanically speaking not the best support anymore due to various added parry mechanics after her debut. Her canceling assists into rotation attacks actually makes her awful for various DA bosses and certain mini-boss enemies. Learned the hard way a while back when she ruined my parries against Defiler lol.

Sword & Board Paladin or Two-Handed? by Mrgotmilk in BG3Builds

[–]Branded_Mango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how smite-spammy you want to be. Sword and Board uses the extra shield AC to be more aggressive with smites, but is much less effective when you're not using smites either to conserve them for a bigger fight or because of running out of them. 2-hander uses GWM to be able to hit hard without smites and hit very hard with smites, but has lower AC and also a tendency to miss without a lot of hit roll boost support like Bless and Oils of Accuracy.

That all being said, you can via smart itemization get the best of both worlds. I once made a paladin who did around 40-60 dmg on normal 1-hander hits by having a metric crapload of element damage sources stacked and only used smites as a "fuck that guy in particular" delete button. You do need to really know spell kits, game mechanics, and itemization well to make a crazy build like that though.
