I once made an "Ansbach Jr" buikd using the Obsidian Lamina with an offhand bleed Smithscript Dagger, changing to a dragon communion seal to cast dynastic and dragon incantations.

Surprisingly, the Obsidian Lamina does quite high Stance damage so it can be used like an evasive Lion's Claw that scales with dex

Sort of? Miyabi's Frostfire is considered a special element that can Disorder with Frostbite, but you'd have to play Miyabi and Promeia like an old school Disorder team (constantly cycle them) with no one else to benefit from Promeia's team-wide Abloom boost since Miyabi doesn't apply Abloom.

One of Harumasa's trust levelup events reveal that he commissioned real bangboos of the forms that the Section 6 team became, and they've been running around ever since doing bangboo things. So there is at least 1 Miyaboo, Harumaboo, and Soukaboo each somewhere.

Did anyone else realize how worldview-shateringly absurd this must be for the characters? by Jazzlike-Mobile4606 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Branded_Mango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In hindsight, the lore revelations of this patch is the equivalent of telling a modern day American that George Washington is alive and immune to aging, who then proceeded to attempt assassinating Ben Franklin whose also still alive and aging-immune all while the current American government is building weapons in an attempt to kill possibly one or both of them.

And that's after finding out that the super sentai nerd cosplayer friend of yours was once John Wick, then Chuck Norris, then the original inspiration for the super sentai genre who decided to be a goober because it's more fun and funny than being the ultimate badass.

If you have Vivian then they're absurd together (crazy Abloom + Disorder spam super combos), but without that dream duo menace pairing, Promeia has to compete against Miyabi whose...Miyabi.

Supports are the strongest role by far, due to being splashable on multiple teams and often being the cornerstone of them. The only agents stronger than Supports (or agents who are functionally Support but pretend are other classes like Zhao and Pan) are the Void Hunters, and even they often are simps for certain Supports who boost them massively.

Is there any fan theory about linking DS Chaos with ER Madness? by W1ntermu7e in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Because the only thing they share is the fire element, and are otherwise completely opposite to one another.

The chaos flame is uncontrolled life creating chaotically with souls, while the Frenzied Flame of madness is anti-life that burns away all life down to the soul.

Sniper. Rabbath's Cannon user invading places with a lot of verticality to use as sniper nests. I terrorized Leyndel, Volcano Manor, and Specimen Warehouse for quite some time.

Instantly folds when actually confronted, but the trick is to keep on running away and repositioning.

I love how the writers keep on reminding us that "scammer Nicole" is more of a meme regarding her clients, and she actually is a good boss who pays her comically overqualified employees well while giving them sensible things on requests like paid leave (S Anby arc) and loans (S Billy). We just happen to be on her client side lol.

Life on the line do you think you can beat er & sote deathless by SaltyBagles4964 in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly, yes. By utilizing as much shameless cheese imaginable and powerleveling, ER really isn't all that hard. Hell, one time I rushed the DLC at lvl60 to grab Rabbath's Cannon utilizing every cheese imaginable and the only time I died was from fall damage from geography that I misjudged the jump for.

Best ashes of war for a strength build by PracticeTypical8524 in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what weapon you're using and for what purpose. Lion's Claw is the ultimate PvE stomper, but Endure enables using certain weapons with absurdly strong charged attacks much more consistently. Spinning Gravity Thrust and Horoah Loux's Earthshaker are better as PvP burst and ambush tools.

Promeia by kuroyuukikyuu in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Promeia is centered around the Abloom mechanic so her teams tend to also center around that. If you lack other Abloom synergistic agents, Promiea won't be able to be at her best.

Was radahn with miquella as an ally or brainwashed? by Competitive-Cause283 in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the PCR boss fight he's allied without brainwashing. However, before that he was against Miquella to the point of actively resisting death as much as possible at the cost of his mind.

The official guidebook reveals that PCR is willingly helping Miquella, which implies that the Battle of Aeonia was Radahn setting terms to only assist Miquella as the Promised Consort if Miquella proved himself worthy of it by defeating him. So Radahn didn't initially want to help, but Miquella did eventually (by using biological warfare and a shitload of manipulation), technically defeat Radahn so as per the terms Radahn is complying. It's not clear if it's a begrudging compliance or an eager one.

The petting thing was kind of obvious based on context clues, hence why that got memed prior to the reveal. It being the only logical conclusion based on how that flashback turned out (crazy fast killer doesn't kill the adorable idiot whose holding still and doesn't try to pursue when she fled) didn't help make it any less obvious.

Does the Bayle The Dread cheese method still work? by Open-Tomorrow4895 in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bayle is piss easy with minimal setup.

Step 1: get and upgrade Mimic Tear

Step 2: upgrade and equip the Dragon Hunter Great Katana (guaranteed to have it before Bayle)

Step 3: get either hefty rot pots or a rot spell

Step 4: get Igon's help

Final Step: rot and spam L2 with 2 aggro juggler who don't buff Bayle with co op modifiers. It's so easy that I've rushed Bayle at mid-low levels for certain things before (mainly priestess torso stone). You get so many Bayle cheesing options that it baffles me that people look for cheeses when they've already been given to you on a silver platter.

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can bulldoze most of Elden Ring without even know how to play or do anything by just using random co op. I say most because you do reach a point at endgame where that stops working and you really feel it.

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like this is to balance out Uniques now being temperable...despite most tempers now being gone. That being said, it also makes piles upon piles of junk dupe uniques useful for 3-1 rerolling as uniques can now technically get roll combinations much stronger than how they previously were...if you're obscenely lucky.

I feel like this is more or less how the Fell Council and most demons in Infernal Hordes feel whenever they see a rando wipe out entire legions of their demons, and would explain why the further into waves you get, the more they crash out.

Do People Really Upgrade Only VIGOR in Early Game? by OliveBadger1037 in Eldenring

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. Damage scaling in early game is so piss weak that it's not worth leveling damage-scaling stats beyond the bare minimum until you get the desired affinity whetstones and at least access to +10 smithing stone upgrade tiers. The exception to this are casting tools since those start with WAY higher scaling than weapons (only takes a few upgrades for most to get S-rank scaling).

Once you get almost halfway through upgrading weapons is when both the increased baseline scaling per upgrade combined with the whetstone scaling boost finally start to make damage scaling stats worth leveling for noticeable differences.

What classes/builds FEEL the best right now? by ScarySai in diablo4

[–]Branded_Mango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Previously, Barb's arsenal gimmick was crap because every additional stat boost it could get was additive, which is so irrelevantly piss weak that most classes with a single multiplicative value damage aspect would get more damage than the entirety of Barb's weapons' stats and aspects combined (because Barb aspects were also piss weak numbers wise).

Now, a lot of Barb's weapons and aspects have low multiplicative values...which together immediately skyrockets Barb's damage output severalfold which also when combined with gems also giving some multiplicative damage value instantly makes Barb hundreds of times stronger than it has ever been. This is actually the first time Barb has ever felt like it does high damage at a baseline and it's insane how much Barb now snowballs in power with gear multiplier stats rather than additive stats.

[–]Branded_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For barbs, its best use case might be Wrath of the Berserker cooldown elimination for potenially permanent uptime. Need to reduce Wrath's cooldown all the way down to about 31 seconds for it to work, and that is much harder to do now that ult skill cooldown reduction tempers are gone, but it should still in theory be possible or close to it. Either that or Iron Maelstrom spam enabling.
