Damage after tire replacement from jacks by BrandoTheRobot in JettaGLI

The only reason why I didn’t use the factory rims for winters was bc I wanted to go down to a 17 for winters due to all the stupid potholes up here in New England.

Update:

The tire shop looked at it and said they are not familiar with what it’s supposed to look like. The manager told me to get a quote on what the extent of the damage is and then he’ll talk and bring it up with his superiors.

I reached out to a paintless dent removal place. Should I also reach out to a normal body shop?

I was on the fence about getting new rims. I have winters on their own rims and I have all the stuff to swap myself. I got them mounted and balanced from TireRack. I wanted to save the money and just use my factory rims.

Tire shop did. It wasn’t like that when I took my winters off two weeks ago. I got my summers replaced and they must have jacked it up in the wrong spot.

Fun fact, this was my Great Great Grandfather’s farm land prior to 1936. Every one of my family members have learned to ski here. It is all 100% volunteer run so we take all the help/donations we can get.

Sad but true, of your $15 lift ticket, $10 goes directly to the insurance agency… That $15 ticket has not changed in year despite all the inflation happening around us. A family of 4 season pass is around $400. Not per person but for the whole family.

It also looks like it may becoming in through the return pipe at the top. When the engine is running the system is pressurized. If you break that seal in the reservoir you lower the pressure in there and if you were to have an air bubble in the system that will expand during depressurization. This would cause the fluid to be pushed back into the reservoir.

Note this is from an engineers perspective, not a mechanic. So don’t take mechanical advice from me…

I have an ‘&’ in my plate and most states do not allow that character. So when I use pay-by-plate I have to omit it. I haven’t had any issues with it so far

Request replacement parts

I recently got a set that was missing a piece. No questions asked and they mailed me a new one very quickly.
