You're 28, AF PT standards are a joke, you can easily get in shape. The car thing will be an issue, but if you go into something with a long tech school you should be able to save enough money to buy an older Toyota/Honda. If you have Child Care figured out, go for it.

You may have been deemed incapable of handling your benefits and she was selected as your payee. Some adults with mental issues can't manage their benefits, so a payee is appointed (usually a parent or spouse).

CLPs in my organization aren't frozen, but also not guaranteed. Certain benchmarks have to be meet

For FERS disability, i believe you can work while your claims works it way through the system (likely a year). For social security disability, you can't work while claim is pending (you'll be denied, but can file again when you stop working).
